Have you ever had a day that made you give pause to the purpose of your life and whether or not one should keep going?

Yes. And sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it anymore. You'd think that things would get easier as you get older, but they don't. Business closing, you're 64 and out of a job and if there were any jobs you could do nobody wants to hire a person over 55. Finances suddenly become a major concern. Worries begin to consume your whole life. At least I have my health. It's the only thing I don't have to worry about. Most of my friends, the few I had, have moved away or passed away. Nobody wants to live in Mass. anymore unless they have plenty of money. But I have cats that need me. They're getting older and when they're gone then what reason will I have to keep trying? It's very tiresome trying to keep on keepin' on.

As my mom used to say, God rest her soul. The Lord doesn't give us any more than we can handle. I know sometimes you wonder about that, lol, but trust in Him and know that He is with you on your path.

Life is not always straightforward and full of fun. There are days when things do not go right or go quite the opposite way that we do not expect. We might want a pause then just to relax or wait for things to turn up better when things are not in our hands. the best thing to do is stay as much cheerful as possible and firm when faced with difficult times.
