The students are the ones very happy because they can rest from their studies. The government employees who are permanent in their work because they do not have any work but still they will be receiving their salaries. These is the time employees can rest and go out for a vacation in other places. How about you? What can you share.

I think those employees of the companies who are slave drivers! Imagine, getting paid out without seeing your slave driver boss or getting a lot of workload. However, they must be worrying already on the loaded workload when they come back from vacation! But seriously, who are happy about the long weekends? I guess it's the malls, travel agencies and tourism spots and the like. They will make more money during such times!

Yeah, and the mall operators are spicing up the long weekend with their season sale. Makes it more attractive to go out and splurge, especially when everybody just got their pay checks.

My office mates and i were really waiting for this long weekend.
Actually, we have been noting it, way before when August started .
It' our time to rest from work and relax in our own way.
Actually now, i am mylotting and watching the Buzz! For the next two days, i have some things to do at home but of course Mylot will always be a part of my vacation.

Yes, this is actually one of those weekends for those working in the Metropolis, far from the province.
My niece, went home to our hometown and arrived yesterday. But she will just be going back tonight via an airconditioned bus. An overnight trip to the Metropolis.
She posted a picture of herself, with feet up on the railings by the porch in our hometown just today, and was so relaxed and happy as she said.

Well, I can only say that they are fortunate enough. But for me, because I am not a regular employee and I am working in the BPO industry, we have work to do because Philippine holidays cannot be an excused to our clients in order to meet our deadlines abroad.

i'm a mother who's not already working yet i'm still happy for this is the time where we are all present at home most of the day if not the whole day. these give us time to eat together and sometimes go out somewhere either to stroll or eat and possible buy something at the malls.

Yes, as parents whose children are in school, this long week end vacation is a getting together at home, eating together and going out for a vacation to relatives with your family. This is also the time were you can go together malling and have some shopping together with the kids.

as a bread-winner in my family, honestly speaking, i am not a fan of these "long-weekend" programs. yes, for many of us, long-weekends really mean BLESSINGS, vacations.. or let me say: PAID VACATIONS :D
but for me, at least two (2) days straight of no work already means "bad days" and are "wastes of time". and i believe one (1) day of rest every week is preferably enough. i am getting paid at my work only on those days i was present at the office, and during Holidays we are off from work.
lucky are those workers who are still getting their days paid even on these such "vacations"

Well, one of the happiest is my daughter and my son who have four days vacation. So sad for the malls because it is not yet payday. Otherwise, there will be more people around.

Hi,
Its all the same here: work, work and work. No work no pay, at least I get to make money in the future. I found the time to make up with unfinished business that I could not do during work days, things that also make huge money if given enough time to accomplish, like this 100-page, USD1,200 contract book project that has been laying on my hard disk drive ready to be organized, printed and published this December 2012.
And just as I was warming up to the task, this call came through with some group who ask to be accompanied. guided to that snake-infested swamp just nearby for a survey in relation to their engineering project at the university.
Am I complaining? Not in the least, I am most happy when doing something worthwhile.
