What the Bible say about abuse as a ground for separation?

I know that abuse should not be tolerated by anyone, and that no one will have to live in an abusive environment. But simply asking the question for discussion purposes only. Does the Bible permitted a couple to be separated for the ground of abuse?

The Bible says that the husband should respect the wife and children should respect parents and vice versa. There's no talk about separation because the Bible says that no man should separate what God has bound. If the family is God-centered, then there wouldn't be abuse nor separation. The problem with these days is the fact that most no longer view God as important in their lives, therefore, whatever they do (abuse/separation) is no longer under God nor under the Bible teaching. It's only when they mend their ways and go back to being God's children that they will "belong" with God once again.
Have a great Mylot experience ahead!

The passage says "But if the unbelieving partner" therefore, the partner doesn't believe in the teaching of the Bible and of God, therefore, he/she doesn't "belong" in God.
As for the second part, it obviously says there that whoever marries a divorced person would commit adultery. Meaning, nobody should be united with a divorced person.
Still, anyone who sins separates from the teachings of God. Worst, if they divorce, they're separating from God which is why when they marry someone else, the union shall not be blessed by God, unless they repent.
