Hi there, Last week I think started discussion and received few responses as usual response them back when I reach one newbie (thank you anyway) response but not in the line of discussion instead asking to me to click the link given (might be his/her referral link). Since I know the rules and guidelines here (read & learned from others) and to prevent deleting my own discussion reported such mylotter and suggested to delete - then in the next morning found deleted such responsed. Then today another newbie saw discussion with directly announcing to sign up to his/her referral link. Three of our mylotters responses and same and same advice to read FAQ and Guidelines - how many of them like this? I'm sure you seen it also in the rolling pages. I'm just think why mylot add or put in the lower portion of mylot logo the alert like "link prohibited" - what do you think?

Mylot has lots of rules and guidelines, but it seems that not everyone reads them. We cannot expect mylot to tell everyone not to put this or that: they will anyway if they wish and they will get deleted posts, answers or accounts. some people come here only to promote other sites. If they donĀ“t discover in time that mylot is not the place to do it, they will soon go away.

Yeah that is the reality here come and go because they think this is the place they wanted.. I admit some are happy to stay and some are come badk after sometimes. But if in the start they see such alert or sign they will not experience any deletion - from the start they make a true discission.

I don't know if there is such a thing that can filter or smartly categorize links being put in. Maybe myLot should have already used such if there exists a program. Anyway, yeah, it is rather annoying to see more and more such kind of discussions and spammer newbies flooding myLot with their referral links. What I do is just don't bother on them. But still, several times I will be able to come across such discussions. I hate commenting on such discussions as it will just be deleted. Good thing that other myLotters will still comment on it to explain and warn such users even if it will be sure to be deleted. Anyway, just ignore them outright, that is my usual action.

May be your right "IGNORE THOSE" but if we just ignore them and it was in your discussion ift would be affected to you for may even your discussion to be deleted? That's why I told and requested to admin to delete spicific response in my discussion because I'm worry that my own discussion will be deleted because of that.

So in your first responsed said ignore it but now you said specifically tell to admin in order to delete such response. Meaning every discussion or response we have receive we much report to the admin..

If that's the case then maybe quickly notify admin to delete the certain response. Sort of policing your own discussion. But I do think admin will not delete an entire discussion just because of a one deviant response into it. Or else, I think, many users will be rushing into them bringing out that issue.

hi visavis but some links that pertain to your discussions if they are not about promoting your sites are allowed.so the links prohibited would have to mention which links are prohibited but yes I think it could work.good idea mentionit to mylot admins. some links that go to a video for example that expalins your discussion are allowed.

Yeah thank you Ms. Hatley in the start of my discussion I never thought about that instead I generalized the situation. Anyway my point is about those link that promoting something.
