Garbage robots

Did you saw Wall-e? A great movie, I saw it today. It just gave me some ideas. We have more and more garbage and we don't like to clean it. But what if we design a robot or maybe a comunity of robots to do that. Get the garbage and sort it and even melt metals and make raw materials. Would be great. And since the plastic is hard to recycle and can't be recyced to many times, thay could use it to build more robots with 3d printing. I'm studying automatics now and want to try this someday. But I need money and more knowledges to do that, so i'm thinking to make a comunity online and maybe get some sponsors to finance it.

a technology like wall-e, right? i think this is a good idea for cleaning the enviroment, but not to offend, i don't really trust robots, because sometimes they will go to malfunction and breakdown. But i support your idea to build a machinery like this type, and make the best one there is :D

A robot like wall-e it's hard to make and will be to big and would be hard to equip to reach everywere. But i'm thinking at teams of robots made of many robots, each with his own task. This way they can get smaller and can be good at what it's doing. And all gather waste to a HQ where they are processed. For begining a human can supervise each team until they learn everything they need to know.
