Have you been to West Africa? Which countries have you visited and how was the trip? Which countries in West Africa would you like to visit in the future and why? I have never been to Africa, but I would like to visit the Gambia and Senegal first. I am able to visit those countries without a visa. I am also interested in Ghana, Benin, Togo and Mali, but I need a visa for those countries and that makes the trip more expensive. Some time ago there was a school in my country that arranged trips to Senegal and the Gambia and when I read about those trips in got interested in visiting those countries myself. The school doesn't exist anymore, so I won't be able to take any of their courses, but I would like to visit Senegal and the Gambia on my own. I am also very interested in visiting Ghana, because I used to have some friends from Ghana who lived in my own country. I have lost touch with them, but I am still very interested in visiting Ghana.

I think that Kenya would be an interesting place to visit. Some of my friends have been to Uganda, and I would like to visit Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda on the same trip. I hope that you will get the chance to visit the Philippines I would also like to visit the Philippines in the future. After my trip in November and December this year it will take me some time to save up the money for the next trip probably 2 or 3 years, because I also have many other bills to pay, but it is one of my goals to visit Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines in the future maybe around the year 2016.

My husband and I have our own house in Denmark, but we don't have any children. Travelling is our biggest passion, and at the moment we are able to save up for our trips and visit other parts of the world. We both have jobs, but it usually takes us a couple of years to save up for each trip because we have many other bills, mortgage payments etc. If I get pregnant we will change our lifestyle, because we won't be able to spend that much money on travelling. We hope that I will get pregnant next year.

It is true that there are civil wars in some African countries and I think it is important to get the lastest information about those countries before we decide to visit them. Sometimes certain parts of the countries are safe to visit and other parts of those countries are unsafe, that is why it is important to get the latest information about the development in the country. There are few countries that I would afford completely like Somalia, but there are also many countries that you can visit without problems. I would like to visit many different countries in Africa and I am thinking about visiting the Gambia, Senegal, Morocco and Tunisia at first. Later on I would like to visit some of the countries in southern Africa.

I haven't ever been to West Africa but I have been to other places in Africa like Tunisia, Kenya, the Seychelles and South Africa. I eat a vegan diet so the yellow fever vaccination wouldn't be suitable for me. Unfortunately most of the countries in West Africa require it. That is except for the Gambia which I would love to visit. I know they have malaria there so I would wait until my children are older. The Gambia is a very poor country and it would be lovely to go spending there to help the local people. It is a shame that I will only be able to visit one country in West Africa: the Gambia.

I know that many countries in Africa require the yellow fever vaccination, but I am not sure eactly which countries require that vaccination. I have most of the other vaccinations that you need (they last the rest of my life) but I would need the yellow fever vaccination when I want to visit one of those countries. I think that the Gambia would be an interesting place to visit. I want to visit the Gambia first and while I am there I will visit Senegal as well. It is possible to catch a bus from Banjul to Dakar, so I it would be possible to visit both countries while I am in that area.

I agree with that. I think that it it is really interesting to visit foreign countries and experience their culture. I don't think that I will ever get tired of that and each country is a new adventure There are so many countries around the world that I want to visit in the future, and it is one of my biggest dreams to able to visit every continent and experience a lot of different cultures and meet a lot of different people from around the world.

Honestly, I never been to Africa myself. After I heard those news on TV and from newspaper, I always had this bad impression on Africa, whether it is East or West. They killing each other, and they were brutally kill the children too, and that is Number one reason I never dream of visiting there. I got a friend of mine, who is from Gambia, and he is a pretty nice person too. If you have a chance visit there, post some photos here, so we can see how it was there in those countries you want to go.

Yes, I will definately write about my trip and post some pictures if I manage to visit some of those countries. In West Africa would like to visit Gambia and Senegal, because people from my country are able to visit those countries without a visa. I think that there are many countries in Africa that you can visit without serious safety concerns, but there are also some countries that I would avoid for instance Somalia, Chad, Niger and the Democratic republic of the Congo. I think that the situation in those countries in unsafe at least at the moment. There are also countries where you can visit certain areas and have to stay away from other areas.

Hi and welcome to Mylot! I think that it would be an amazing experience to visit every country in Africa. Some time ago I visited a website that belongs to a travel agency that arranges trips where you get the chance to visit most of the African countries on the same trip. I think that it would be really interesting to travel around for several months and visit a lot of different countries. In West Africa I am especially interested in Ghana because I have met people from Ghana who have told me about their country, but I also want to visit many of the other African countries.
