I have some ideas at times popping in my head about possible new marketing plans that could be a good idea if ever I am going to put up my own online business. But the problem is that I didn't have any idea about putting up a business online: how much will it cost and how to go about all the processes. Does anyone of you have some good ideas on how an online business is put up and all the expenses attached with it?

My wife started her mini online business few months ago. I think you better think of the business that you have more knowledge. If you want selling items, you must think of the items that you had experience using with. Also, you must consider your market. Like my wife, she know a lot of mom out there so she did sell cloth diapers and other baby stuffs.
Online selling is a bit difficult because most customers will be hesitant to buy and give money on items they haven't got. Furthermore, for a seller, it is hard to send items without the money yet. Sometimes, at first, meet-ups is one of the best way to gain trust on your customer.

I myself am hesitant to buy stuffs online, so I know what you said is true. Meet-ups would be possible from buyers in your own country, but if we want to get worldwide customers that won't be possible. But yes, I think your own country is a big enough market so at least you could get good success with meet-ups. I dream of someday reaching a worldwide market with my own online business and getting clients all over the world buying my stuff or using the service my online site could give. That would be the day :D

At the start, you need to have domestic customers first. Even at your own country it is hard for the meet ups since some of your future customers willl come from other regions. I guess you really need to gain trust first. Like ours, my wife already had some customers, some of them were first time to buy from online shops like my wife had.

I would say that is true, and ideals could easily be shaken by difficult realities when we face the challenge of working online. I would also say perseverance would be an important key in the success of each online marketer. It would have been easy for me 7 years ago to give up the dream of working full time online when I was easily tempted to do mostly fun and leisure activities online, but now I am glad I persevered and I'm glad I have been working online full time for the past 7 years. The challenge to earn enough to retire I think is near at hand as I felt I have finally discovered the right plans for me to make and I have already started on that plan with investments in two very good sites which would give me the passive income I desire within a 5 to 6 months period of time. I would say nothing big comes easily and quickly online...unless I would be lucky enough to find someone who would show me something that disproves this and benefit from what he would offer :)
