How can you say that you are a musician?

I've been thinking this many times. How can we say about ourselves if we are truly musicians. There are many people know to play instruments but we don't have a passion on it.

The key to know if a person is a musician, If he/she enjoys playing musical instruments.And has desire to develop his skill. It is not necessary to go to school of music to be a muscian.

I never did understand the concept of making children learn to play an instrument when they had no interest. To me, a musician is someone who enjoys playing music. It doesn't have to be professional or performance music of any kind. If you play because you want to, you're a musician.
