I was born and rasied in a small counrty town in the beauiful state of Florida and I work in a hotel where I come in contact with lots of tourist. Lots of our Guests that come here on vacation always comment on my southern draw. I guess it may sound differnt to some people but I am proud of it. I try to talk as professional as I can but it is still southern. Any country ladies out there have similar experiences.

Hmm that is very interesting that you have a southern draw. The hotel industry sound like a great career path. I was born and raised in Texas. And it is quite interesting the amount of different responses you get from others who have a southerndraw. But I believe that wherever your from. Because like each individual personality, your accent also makes you unique

I believe that everyone has an accent of some kind. I live in Pgh and when I went to Atl. I picked up a southern accent from living there for a couple of yrs. Then back to Pgh. for a couple years and then I moved to St. Augustine FL. One place I worked the people thought I was from TX. because I had a combination of accents, northern & southern. I thought it was great, no one could figure out where I was from because of it.

My family is from Tennessee and when ever I go to visit I always pick that drawl back up again. When I get home every one wants to know where I am from lol. I have to tell them oh that its just my southern drawl coming out lol. I think that its the coolest thing ever. It brings memories that are good to mind when I hear that southern drawl. Like my aunt Jenny yelling at me cause I ruined her tomatoes lol. Thats another story though. Be proud of who you are and where you came from I know I sure am
