And so the Philippines mourns again...

Around 8:40am today, the body of DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo has been found and retrieved after almost 3days of search and rescue operations. Robredo is another honorable man gone too soon. He is an advocate of good governance. Accolades poured in here and there of his great lifetime. As the Filipino community mourns his death, may his advocacy continue to bring inspiration to other public servants and hope of a better government for the Filipino people.

It pains to know that a good fellow Nagueno has fallen again. I am proud Nagueno myself and I am deeply hurt by these developments. I have literally lived under his administration and saw the developments he made on my place. I saw how he was able to revive my place from a dying old city to a lively and happy place to live. I am just sad that he left too soon because I know he can do more for the country if he was given a longer time. But I guess our Creator has other plans for him and decided to cut short of his journey here on Earth. I know he is in a better place without all the noise and controversy and no politics anymore. Rest in Peace to Our dear and beloved Mayor.

Indeed, it is a big challenge to the successor to put up a level he is supposed to follow. Many are saying that what he did for the department was really very good in terms of dealing with his people to the projects he is trying to implement right now. I guess he would need to continue what he has done and probably needs to implement more to be able to measure up with Sec Jess. In our little city where he was Mayor for 18 good years we feel lost at the moment. But I know the current administration would continue on what he left in the City to continue his legacy.

He is a good leader and a very honorable man! now the biggest challenge for the administration is to fill in the post he left with someone as good as him or even better if that is even possible considering the kinds of politicians we have nowadays.

Even if his gone his good deeds and advocacy is expected to be inherited to his colleaques.May his principles in good governance be implemented same as he was before by the future secretary.I also admire for the private divers who successfully retrieve his body. Even their a foreigner, they still should a very desirable attitude.

That makes us wonder, why do good men are the ones to leave? Where there were crook politicians out there whom surely deserves this. but I think we cannot comprehend Gods plan for our country. On the lighter side, we could not have known what kind of person Sec. Robredo is. How down to earth man he is, what kind of politician and how he lived a simple life despite how big his position is. Now we wonder, is the person that will replaced him will surpass what he already done for our country? I just hope Mr. P. Ochoa will follow Sec. Jess's legacy.

i agree. it's really sad that one has to die for the world to know his good deeds. the left a very big shoe to fill for whoever is going to be appointed as the next dilg secretary. would he/she be able to surpass sec. robredo? well, we can only hope. :)
