having family as your friends and your friends as your family

The best realization I have for the moment is knowing that friends treat you like a family and your family builds friendship in you.
I am grateful that I have a down-to-earth family. Just last weekend, we celebrated my mom's birthday, only on these special occasions we have the chance to bond again. Me and my sisters were laughing crazy videotaping ourselves acting like insane people in front of the camera. Then we'll watch the recording again and again. At such moment, I felt I am with my friends, like we were on the same age and we have that strong tie within us unbreakable.
On the other hand, my friends are always there for me. They were just like my family who will scold me if I do something not right but will still accept me with no condition.
These facts just make me feel blessed.
My family and my friends are my most precious gems I am willing to keep forever.
How about you?
Do your friends treat you as their family? Does your family act as a friend to you?

Friends are the family you chose.
I love my sister and feel pretty safe in talking to her about things, but not so much my brother, even tho my brother and I are only a couple of years apart.
Of course, when we are all over 50 we aren't talking about that big a difference anymore.

It is true that before we go to our friends, we should first seek the help of our family members and relatives. As we can surely get good advices from them. Before anything else, it should be our family whom we should consider as friends. I'm very close to my siblings as well as my own family. My wife and kids regards me not only a husband and father but a true friend also.

Wow!
Yes, first friends are found inside our homes. You are one good husband and father. I'm sure your kids are so proud of you, and you will mold them into better persons as they grow up. A father like you is rare nowadays:)

I believe that if all people like you, they have most of the ingredients of happiness, but the question, Is there anything we need then?
Yes, it is our relationship with all of us, whether friends or family with God, we must be as commanded by God, then the full pleasure of life.

Yes. God above anyone else. God is great when He gives us our source of happiness.
Answering your question, I would say - Yes, we still have many needs. We need trials, we need to experience life, we need to be tested. God will provide them all for us to learn and grow into better individuals and His good children.
You're right, God makes everything complete :)

Congrats, you seem to have a wonderful family and friends. I have a wonderful family as well. My sister is my best friend and I feel that I am the luckiest person to have a sister like her. We can do many goofy things together as well as be serious and talk and support each other. I also have one other friend who is like a sister to us and the 3 of us do enjoy each other's company. I don't have any other friends that would do the same.

Yes, my family are my friends.
Me and my siblings are close to each other.
My brothers are my best buddies.
Being the eldest among 4 siblings I build a relationship towards them as friends and buddies.
Even our mom- she's not just a mom to us but our bestfriend as well.
Regarding my friends- I am lucky to have friends who fills the space that my family misses.
Since I lived away from my family, my friends stands as my family.
They are my best treasure in life that only rare ever find in their lives.

You're right. Best treasures in life are only rare to find- and so we must keep. Creating friendship with our family members is one of the best relationship we can build. True friends are there to make us feel we have a family in them unconditionally:)

Thanks :) Yes, the friendship we build with our parents is one thing we should treasure and be grateful for. Open-communication is very important with family members so as to make the family stronger and united.

Wow, you are so blessed I wish I have wonderful friends and
family members like yours. However, I do appreciate a few of my good
friends who have showered me with genuine care when I need them the most.
They are very understanding and lend a helping hand without criticizing.
The love they showed me even closer than my own siblings.
I do have my own family members who are very helpful too. But they are
more dominating, not like friends who can share everything with. I
appreciate all my family members and friends very much. I am truly grateful
that I have them.

You're blessed. I wish I also have friends like yours. A few years ago, I had realized that the true friendship is just within our family. My "so-called friend" whom I had befriended since we were children is now a mere acquaintance to me. I don't know if that is what she felt for me too. There are really times in our lives that we only know who our friends are during our times of depression and when we are full of problems.

That's true. It is not often that we can find true friends. Don't worry, God never leaves us empty-handed. Maybe He's just preparing His special gift for you-the real friends who will make you happier.
