These are the shortlist of players that are ones to watch in the league this season. This is completely opinion based and being a Liverpool i will be as unbiased as i possibly can, I hope you will all enjoy my analysis on some of the key players that have arrived on the scene this season or new players making new starts at their clubs.
Lukas Podolski- Arsenal
The German was brilliant last season with his club FC Koln (Cologne) and was one of the reasons they stayed up last season, from watching his performances for club and country, he is definitely one to watch in my opinion, he's fast and has a good left footed shot on him. Is he Arsenal's replacement for Van Persie i believe so, but he has some big boots to fill. Played in the Sunderland game but failed to get Arsenal off the mark but surely he will rack about 15-20 depending whether he can hit the form he has for his country, which can be at times poor but its fresh start i expect him to do well personally.
Olivier Giroud- Arsenal
This is a well-known French player, he is locally known as a goal machine by his former club coaches of Montpelier and one of the reason for their sudden success. He's a goalscorer in France's Ligue 1 and top scorer from last season however the premier league is a big step up from life in France and could take time to adapt to the English game but i expect him also to do well and he did look lively in his first game in England, wish him all the best.
Santi Cazorla- Arsenal
Santi Cazorla is a Spanish Winger who always looked exciting during his tenure with Villarreal but he is also a Spanish International, he's shown promise in the pre-season with his passing and crossing abilities. I see him as one to watch this season definitely.
Eden Hazard-Chelsea
Eden Hazard is said to be the next prodigy of Belgian football, he was well known for this brilliance in the French ligue 1 with his side LOSC Lille. His performances there made him a legend in their history after he led them to a ligue 1 title.
Since joining Chelsea he had a disappointing start losing out on a community shield, but picked himself up with a valiant display against Wigan.
Oscar- Chelsea
I don't normally watch the Brazilian league but this guy's publicity caught my eye and i think his attacking attributes were clearly known at the Olympics this summer, i see him working hard to get some starts though but definitely an impact player something they we're missing last season.
Mirallas- Everton
The Belgian has just signed for Everton, he seems like a good player from what i have seen from him in Turkey, he really looks the part to replace Saha after his departure to sunderland, i definitely see Everton causing a threat this season and challenging top 4, he didn't play against United but i see him being a good player this season.
Jelavic-Everton
Jelavic started his Everton career with a bang last season in the January transfer window including a goal against United and Liverpool last season. I see him being one to watch this year, however he was ineffective this time around against united but his performance was a good one nevertheless.
Petric-Fulham
The replacement for Dempsey started his career at Fulham with bang hitting a goal and 2 assists in a 5-0 victory, i see him being one to watch this season and will pose a threat against United at Old Trafford.
Joe Allen-Liverpool
Joe Allen first shown promise last season with Swansea his passing and tackling of winning possession could be key for Liverpool this season his passing rate last season was at an all time high with 91.5% passing rate, he i surely one to watch. He did well in what was an abysmal start to Liverpool's season
Fabio Borini-Liverpool
The striker has promised goals something Liverpool lacked last season, i just hope he walks the walk, he did well scoring against Gomel but the premier league is a different kettle of fish and i hope he rides the challenge, he looked good at Roma but maybe a season is needed to settle in.
Shinji Kagawa- Manchester United
Kagawa is a player i have watched for over two years now since moving from Japan to Germany all i have seen this man do is score and set up goals, he works really hard to get his side goals, he is a good player and will help United score goals that's for sure. During his time at Dortmund i have seen glimpse of Kaka in his displays with his deadly through balls and blistering speed to go around defenders and i believe he could be the signing of the summer.
Looked promising against Everton but disappointed not to get off to a flyer.
Van Persie- Manchester United
Hated by Arsenal fans and many fans alike but United see him as their signing to help them give chase to City, he's a goalscorer. Top scorer and player of the season last season needs to prove his doubters wrong by proving he's not just a one season wonder.
Partnering Rooney upfront i only see United attack to get stronger.
Much more to come including Cleverley-United, Rodwell-city, Vlaar-Villa Michu-Swansea, Lukaku-West Brom, Yacob-West Brom and many more.

I agree that the three Arsenal players are players to watch out for this season. I am also interested in seeing how Van Persie teams up with Rooney up front for Man United. Amongst others, I am interested in seeing if Lukaku can come up as the next Drogba as publicized last year now that he will get a regular start at West Brom. Other players of interest to me is the Newcastle strike force of Demba Ba and Cisse who both had a fantastic year last year and I am looking to see how they fare this season. Also the midfielders Cabaye and Ben Arfa are also two players I am looking forward to seeing this year.
Cheers!
