How Can People Be So Weak-Minded as to Believe "Obama 2016"?

It's a movie I heard about from GodfatherPolitics, a movie in which the producer paints a picture of 'what the world will look like if Barack Obama gets re-elected President of the United States.'
My browser was too slow to read past the first page of http://godfatherpolitics.com/6667/2016-what-will-america-look-like-if-obama-gets-re-elected/ ... though the first page told me a couple things: 1) deSouza (the producer) tells a believable tale because he quotes directly from Mr. Obama's writings & 2) political writers get on each other's good-side by agreeing with them.
The blogger and the movie-producer seem to be overlooking one key fact: the President has no more power over people's behavior than a prophet has over the future he foretells. The reason why the President is "the most-powerful man in the world" is that his words are regarded as 'commands' when they are nothing more than 'probably-good suggestions.'
How can we wake people up to the fact that the President is only powerful if people choose to follow his suggestions?

He has broken so many promises that it is really hard to understand why any one would be for him. The people who voted for him before should be very upset because he has followed through on so little of what he promised. It is obvious that he was just saying whatever he thought would get votes never meant most of it. He doing the same now.

The promises he made would have happened if Congress would have worked with him; which they refuse to do. People who want him out will only be so very sorry when Mitt/Ryan get into office because they are only for the 1% rich. They don't care one bit about the poor or middle class people of this United States. So as I see it since there are very little people with common sense in this US I can see a Republican in office and making it even worse for the working people. Mitt already said "he does not care about the poor people." Taxes will go up for us and down for the rich, they will do away with so many programs that are helping the poor and middle class people at this time. Once the next four years is over society will consist of the poor and the rich. The middle class will have become poor. I hope people wake up and realize that we are better off with Obama/Biden than with Mitt/Ryan.

Not necessarily. We'll most-likely be as bad-off either way. The President will either support that or disagree, but that'll only hurt/help us a little more than 'cheering at the TV' helps 'the sports-team on to victory.'
And about the whole '1% vs. 99%': no; both Obama AND Romney would LOVE if everyone were equally-rich, but their campaigns GET MONEY from the 1% (the only ones with money to give). They only care about WHO IS GIVING THEM MONEY. (Oh, they say they care about 'everybody,' but they'll only work for you if you provide for them!...
(that's the only way I can forgive Obama for supporting gay-marriage: you throw me a few several-million-dollar dinners, I will tell you The Colonel's Secret Recipe

Um, no. Because I feel like it's an anti-Obama propaganda-piece, and I don't feel like subjecting my mind to that.
Or maybe it's like George Orwell's "1985" minus the hope of a glimmer of intellectual freedom---but it's too reality-based to be good fiction.

The President is a man who came along at the right time and was able to tap into a movement of people who wanted to see something different. He will be reelected but it will be extremely hard for the next different politician. But I predict the next breakthrough will be a woman and if Hillary wants it in 2016 it will be hers.

I predict the next breakthrough will be a brain-injured President---me, in 2016

Agreeable words---Maybe that's how he got the Nobel Peace Prize; not by making any actual peace , but by writing about what a nice place a peaceful world would be
