I took my son's to get their hair cut earlier today and later I noticed that my change holder in my car was quite lacking. Someone had stolen all of the quarters, all of the dimes, most of the nickels but none of the pennies. They didn't seem to take anything else just the change, it was obviously very fast because the car was parked right in front of the hair cut place and I didn't even see anyone go near my car let alone take something. This is the 3rd time I have had things stolen from my car in my life time. The first one was dumb on my part because I went to a bar and left my purse in the car, I thought I hid it well but someone must have been watching me. They smashed the car opened to get it. The really bad thing was it was the middle of the winter and we were an hour and a half from home. We taped cardboard in place of the window but that was still a super cold car ride home. The next was when I was in college, the night before my district tennis match someone took my tennis shoes and my tennis out of my car, so I had to play an important match in the wrong kind of shoes, and with an unfamiliar racket with a different head size, I am pretty sure I know who did that one though. Now this. All in all I am grateful they did not take anything else. Has someone ever broken in to your car? Did they damage the car? What did they get away with?

Luckily, I have never had that happen. My brother had his car broken into once, they jimmied the lock open and tried to take his stereo.
You didnt go get a free hair cut from JC Penny?

I think you had to make appointments. I called 2 weeks ago and made appointments for my kids. They did a really good job. We usually go to a kids place too. I just think they are over priced and they don't do that great of a job.

Unfortunately nothing is safe these days. I always lock our doors on our vehicles when we are in town. I have an alarm on the van and I always make sure it is on. A long time ago (back when I was in my 20's) I was on a date with someone and while we were in the restaurant eating someone did a smash and grab on his car. He had a very nice radar detector attached to the dash and they grabbed it. His alarm went off and the police who were in another section of the mall investigating another car they had broken into heard it and come on scene. They actually caught the guys in the parking lot and the guy I was with got his radar detector back that day. He did have to cover his window being fixed though. These guys were only teenagers and they had actually hit about ten cars in the mall parking lot and the surrounding parking lots of the other shopping centers. I am glad they got caught.

If you're going to leave things in your car they should be loced up and out of sight, and the car should be locked. Better yet, don't leave stuff in your car in a public place, and this will never happen again.

you should not ever leave things in your car, that is asking for trouble, that is what the police say. From now on, don't leave anything important in your car, this is the third time for you it should be enough.

We have had our car broken into before and yes there was damage. The car we had that was broke into we no longer have now because we wanted to sell it before it was not worth anything. It was an oldie car and we had a lot of people coming to our door asking about the car and we kept telling them at the time it was not for sale.

Thieves are bold to begin with. I know a guy and girl couple, who actually had the audacity to steal a big screen T.V. from Walmart. They went through the garden center and loaded it up in the back of his truck and took off. Needless to say the police caught them shortly after they exited the parking lot, but that just goes to show how dumb people can be

Aww I'm sorry to hear your money was stolen from your car. I would be so mad if that happened to be even if it was only a few dollars in change it's still theft. I guess be thankful you didnt have anything else in there worth more that they might have taken. I alwats lock my doors I don't trust anyone.

Oh yeah it happened to our family many times. So it is hard to trust even people that you know. Not my family but friends you though were your friends
