My daughter turned two in end of May so she is 2 and 3 months. She has potty trained off and on. My eldest was done at two and a half. What are the statistics on the average ages. What are your experiences if you had an off and on potty trainer? My eldest just got the hang of it and that was it, what can be done to promote continuous potty training?

My daughter was potty trained to pee at a year but it took us a whole year and a half to get her to poop on the potty. My son is almost 2 and likes to pee in the toilet but I think that's just because he likes to hold "it". Other than that he doesn't pay it any mind. Anyway all kids are different so don't stress too much about it. Try a few different things and see how it goes. I would also say let her watch you and your oldest daughter if she doesnt already. That may persuade her to do what mommy and sister do! Good luck!

My daughter does the opposite recently. She has pooped but won't pee. When I put her on the cloth trainers she says wet and then sits on the potty. I am seing she has learned something. It is amazing how much they learn so quickly.

Every child is a bit different when they should start potty training. Experts say till they can sleep through the night and naps with out going to the potty in there diapers. Other say some time around 2 to 2.5 years old. My daughter will be 2 in January. We haven't even started potty training yet she isn't ready for it. I don't say she isn't ready for it because she still goes during her sleep but because she really has no interest in the toilet. She'll flush it but she still sees it as a toy to play with vs using it to go potty. So I"m going to wait till she is almost or is 2.5 years old. You can always start off in pull ups to introduce the start of it. Some children take to it at an early age and the others need more time.

Yes, I forgot reading that about sleeping through the night with a wet diaper. I will look at that from now on. We will probably wait until 2 and 5 as she isnt ready. She only likes to mimic and sit on the potty the last 2 weeks and its due to being able to pull out the toilet paper :) The pullups arent helping yet as she isnt potty trained but they will wen she is ready.

I never really had problems with my kids when it comes to potty training..i guess this is due to the fact that they see where i do it..
My kids as early as 1 year old already knows where he would urinate..he is two years old now and can tell us if he wants to poop or to pee.. i guess with constant showing the way, guiding they can easily be trained.

We started our daughters with potty training before they turned two years old (3 months before they turned 2). It was messy at first when they were still adjusting to the feel of not wearing diapers and having to tell the elders when they need to pee or poop. Then when they got the hang of using the potty, we stopped them from using diapers gradually until they don't even have to wear one while asleep.

My son started potty training when he was 1 year and 7 months old. Until now, we're still in training and hopefully, by the time he's turned two, he'll done with it! :)

I think potty training is for 2 years old.
My daughter is 1 year and 10 months old. We bought a potty trainer for her 2 months ago and placed it in the bedroom just so she could get used to seeing it. She does not actually use it but there are times when she would say wiwi (pee) and sit on the potty with her diapers on. We are not pressuring her. Maybe next month, I will try to have her sit on it when she wants to pee.
Have a nice day!
