Another sad day

I've mentioned now and again that my "grandson" Solo has been sick.
He was really sick last month and we thought we were going to lose him, but he improved.
Lately he's been begging for food and eating.
But, this morning, he was gone.
He'd been eating and drinking and not wheezing lately, we thought he was on the mend, but something happened.
I just hate this.
It was almost exactly a year ago when Scamp died, and now Solo.
This is just to share with my friends that care that I lost my boy.

I'm soo sorry to hear bad news about Solo. Did he have a relapse? It is always hard to lose someone or something so close to you, but just concentrate on the many others that you have.

OMG, this is so sad, what do you mean by ''begging and eating''? Is it as a result of the financial stress the economy has brought upon his parents or he has got or rather had a very rare disease? I really need to know. Anyways its really sad I wish God grants you and the family the gratitude to bear the loss of the child. So sorry and take heart.

It is sad to lose a cat friend. They can be real personalities and it is easy to love them.
I hope you get comfort from the other cats, even if they cannot replace Solo.
I understand he was very special for you..

I'm so sorry for your loss. I really do understand how you feel. We lost our one and only cat 2 yrs. ago and it was like losing a member of the family. I cried for days and couldn't talk about Cloey. My decision was not to replace her and primarily because she was an excellent pet and knew there would never be another cat like Cloey. We have no pets right now and that's ok. There may come a time when I need to have a dog around but now is not the time. Will be thinking about you. Take care and may Solo rest in peace.

I am lucky enough that my fur-baby is 12 years old, and still acting like a kitten. I sure hope he lives another 12 years, because now I actually don't remember life without him. LOL I've had him for almost half my life, and I love him to bits.

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost someone that is so dear to you. As a pet lover myself I feel your pain as I've endure a lot of deaths in our family as well. Its really hard inside when you thought that he's doing okay but suddenly he'll leave you without warning. Let's just think that he's in a better place right now without the sickness.

I am so sorry for your loss. I thought of him the other day when I responded to your discussion about the letter and I wondered how he was. I know how saddening it is to lose a much loved and very special companion. I have been there many times, as have you. And having been so special and seemingly on the mend makes it all that much harder. And almost on the anniversary of losing Scamp. I wish there were something I could do or say, but there never is at times like these. I hope you find some comfort in the kind words of the many friends you have here on the lot. You may not be much of a crier, but I am doing it for you as I think of your loss and little Solo, so young.

Awww Elic! I'm really sorry to hear this! You know you did your very best in trying to make him well but it just wasn't meant to be. I'm sorry! At least he's at peace now and not struggling to breathe anymore. May God bless you both!

Oh, I have tears in my eyes, I'm so sorry Elic. It's one of the hardest things in the world when we lose a best friend. I'm so sorry and my thoughts are with you. RIP Solo.

I am so sorry for your loss! I know how it feels to lose a beloved furbaby. But I really believe that our friends wait for us on the other side so this is just a temporary separation. In the meantime, Solo is safe with God and will never be miserable again.
I know it'll be tough for awhile but you were blessed to have each other. Concentrate on the good times.

Hope you are alright.
See, I can understand how much you loved them and I can understand your sadness. Even we had a lots of pets like cat, dog, different birds and for about 25 years and more and my mom was the only one who spend the so long time by loving and caring about all those and yesterday only I was talking about some of my pets to someone in myLot.
It is really painful because my mom used to say that these are my real children, though I didn't give birth to them. I am sure that you will get a new pet soon to love and share the cherished memories.
