There has been alot of talk nowadays of the concern of taxpayers funding abortion through the Obamacare. I am a pro-lifer and believe there should be no reason to have an abortion. Abortion to me is murder!!! It is even said that with the Obamacare that even after your child is born you can still abort it. My question is, why would someone want to abort a child? There are other means, such as birth control or adoption. Why kill an innocent life?

If the cost of abortion was five thousand dollars then I think not many abortions in America would happen. It is not right that tax payers money goes on paying for abortions through Obama Care.
I am very much pro-life and wouldn't ever choose to have an abortion. Every baby is special and deserves to be born. It is a shame adoption isn't more popular or easy to do.
I know some ladies have an abortion for medical reasons. Often they find out their baby is disabled and medical staff try to get the lady to decide on having an abortion. They are told things like "your baby is not life compatible" and " your baby is going to ruin your marriage and he will be a monster". I found out my baby son in 2007 is disabled. I said no way to having an abortion and at 36 weeks pregnancy continued to let my baby be born.
My disabled baby son is now a happy little five year old. He has a shunt in his head to manage his hydrocephalus and he is in a wheelchair. He wears leg splints and he has leg plus feet operations. Due to his spina bifida he is unable to walk. He needs catheter care.
The other day I saw a program called Midwives and it was about midwives and the challenging pregnant ladies. One lady had a kidney transplant seven years ago. When she got pregnant it put too much trouble to her state of health. She got admitted with severe itching and was unable to sleep. She was 22 weeks pregnant and she got more poorly by the day. As her pregnancy continued it much more and more pressure on her body. At a weak moment she considered abortion due to the pregnancy nearly killing her. Amazingly the doctor gave her a very strong medication to stop the itching. She felt a bit better and had her baby born safely. She loves her baby girl and after the birth her health got better. She is having a break from kidney dialysis which she hates.

It's great that you had the strength to go through with that, but not everyone is equipped to handle a child with severe disabilities, be it coping mentally with caring for such a child or affording all the medical bills that would doubtlessly happen.

I am a primary school teacher so that gives me knowledge of children and special needs. I am so lucky to live in England because the National Health Scheme gives free medical care. My son is off to see his consultant on Friday. Living costs are higher than with a normal child.

each time hear about abortion, I always ask, "how could a woman kill the baby she carry inside?". I know everyone has it own choice and reason to do so, but abortion is a murder and could not tolerate. if the baby is coming from unwanted pregnancy, woman should still realize that the baby still have the right to live!

for first pregnancy, most of woman will thought that they are not ready enough because this is the very first time experience of life. but they must realize that they have to responsible for the things they've done. and still.... abortion should never be a choice!

There are cases where abortion may, sadly, be a better option than allowing a pregnacy to come to term. Every case should be judged on its individual merits, taking into account the health of the mother and of the future child.
'Obamacare' (or, to give it its proper name, State Assisted Health Care) would not and could not preclude abortion for sound medical reasons. As in most countries which have any kind of National Health Insurance, there would be very strict regulations about abortion and it would very likely require the agreement of more than one medical advisor to approve it and the decision to allow the operation to be carried out under the National insurance scheme would depend on its medical advisability, not on its 'convenience' to the parents.
The proposal that everyone should contribute according to their means to a National Health Insurance scheme even if they disagree with certain medical proceedures which may be carried out under that scheme is exactly similar to the case of someone objecting to the payment of Federal taxes because they contribute to something to which they are violently opposed (for example, a war effort).

True, there are cases where an abortion would be a better option especially if there is danger of losing the mother or the child. That would be the only exception that should be accepted or covered. The contributions to insurances that cover abortion should be for only these situations and shouldn't be mandatory.

I have friends who have been waiting for a baby, but now many of the social service workers are deciding who should have a baby based on their lack of beliefs, and their lifestytle. So rather then Christians getting the baby they want, the baby goes to the atheist, the homosexual couple, the couple that cheat on each other. Abortion makes one feel that life is not worthwhile unless the person is extremely healthy, good looking, made of money, and of the right ethnic group. It makes one feel that no one in the whole world will love the child the woman is aborting in the whole city, country, state or province, world, solar system, and the universe. So it is not just murdering the life inside that is wrong, it i also devaluing the whole of human life.

A child is asked to be born in this world, and when there comes a time when it is....the female should have to suffer the consequences. If she doesn't think she can raise it after the child is born then give it up for adoption don't just "kill" the baby, because YOU don't want it.

One of the big problems is feminism where females are taught that it is their body and they have a right to choose. This is incorrect. Once a female becomes pregnant other people become involved with the decision let alone what God wants.

i don't agree that abortion be legalized worldwide because it is a sin from God, in fact most people nowadays practice abortion especially in other countries.

I am generally opposed to abortion. I understand that there are certain circumstances that a compelling argument can be made for it, but in general I do not agree with abortion. In any case, if someone is planning on having an abortion, then it should be at their own cost, and not at the cost of the taxpayer. If the taxpayer is covering the expense then everyone becomes a party to abortion whether they want to or not.
