Indeed it is difficult to deal to people who do not know how to listen.

yeah some people think that they know everything and that no one knows better than them. I tell you it is really hard to have them listen and I hate to make them understand anything even though they are wrong. I can't deal with such people. I just ignore their existence. Yes I too have come across people like you are mentioning and have to some extent adapted to them. I also do same by just listening to them considering the fact that they won't listen to you anyway. I try once to make them understand my point of view as well but give up if our conversation takes the shape of an argument which is often the case. But then I take out positives from wherever I can. I think being with them helps us develop our tendency of listening to others.

These kind of people mostly are egoistic. They do not listen to others because they believed they are always right. Sometimes they realize that they are wrong- but they cannot accept the truth that there are other people who are smarter than they are- so, still they insist their idea is still the best.

hi, that is true,its so hard to deal to people who don't want to accept any ideas or opinion from us,actually i will never talk again if they will not listen to my ideas and opinion,maybe those kind of people always know that they are always right so that they will never listen to you.

It's true, most people ask you something and want you to answer what they have already decided. If your answer is different they tell you you are mad/stupid/ignorant and much more. I've had a lot of experiences like that.

I agree with you.Most of the people we come across are like that.They would be eager listeners if you say to them what they want you to say.They expect you to be a mere sycophant.Say to them what they want to hear from you,and they would be all ears.Oppose them,and they would turn into your adversaries.And anybody with a self respect can't oblige them.We sometimes have to criticize their views and express ourselves,and this is not possible for people like you and me who have their own views on a particular topic.

I definately hear you on this! I work in a call centre as a customer service representative and there are certain people that simply do not listen or they twist your words and accuse you of saying things that you really did not. These types of people are the most frustrating customers to deal with and I find it easiest to give them simple yes or no answers and to sit there quietly while they rant and rave.

I agree with this a lot. I don't know if I should call my friend slow or what... She always seems like she doesn't get what people saying; the way she respond back, we know she doesn't get it. Sometimes she just like to talk and not listen, she thinks whatever right then she just follow it.

i have seen so many friends of my who are exactly the same as you have said and i find it real hard to tackle them at times and they never ever follow what we say and they want to be noticed with their talk always

I live with someone just like this. No matter what I say he doesn't really want my opinion. He does what he wants and thinks what he wants, nothing you ever say matters and won't change what he thinks. So most of the time, I don't bother. He thinks he is always right but most of the time he isn't.

I couldn't agree more, and they only hear what they want to hear. They're almost impossible to deal with; the way they act as if everything revolves around them lol! I find it nearly impossible to work with them, they don't even give chances to suggestions and when constructively criticized, they even take it the wrong way.

Quite true. Some people have that ego problem "I am always right". They just cant differentiate between right and wrong and are not ready to understand other people's point of view.
