Since I gave birth, I have lost 20 pounds but I'm no where close to my weight and shape before I had my daughter... And we have moved since April, all my clothes except my maternity clothes were all packed in storeage so I'm still wearing my matrenity clothes... I'm wondering if I should buy new clothes yet or wait, I'm getting sick of wearing my 'big' clothes. What do you think?

How long has it been since you gave birth? It can take up to nine months after delivering your baby for your body's hormone levels to return to normal and that includes your metabolism. Usually right after delivery, you immediately drop 20-25 pounds from the weight of the baby, the water weight and the placenta. If it's been awhile, have you dieted? I have two kids and after my second one, my metabolism never returned to normal. I used to be able to eat what I wanted and no have to exercise or anything to maintain my weight. Now, I really have to watch it if I want to stay at my ideal weight. I know it's hard, but if it's only been a few months since you gave birth, you should be fine. It'll happen. Good Luck with this.

It is been almost two months since i gave birth. I feel like my hormones is still remaining what it was like and because of the nursing, i still have to eat enough and good in order to give my baby god nutrient. I have started doing some cardio exercises recently and i hope i will lose more weight soon by doing exercises regularly... thank you for sharing!

I think if you want different clothes other than your maternity clothes and don't want to spend a lot of money go to a thrift store or something and get a couple things til you are where you want to be weight wise.

I would at least buy some new bottoms to have things fit you better even if you just buy them at a thrift store, goodwill or a walmart at least you will still have some stuff that fits you better. I think that is what i wold do after loosing 20 pounds. Dont spend alo of money on clothes if you are still going to want to loose weight but get some items that will make you feel better and fit you as well.

I think you should. You said you're sick of wearing big clothes, means you're no longer comfortable in them. Just buy some cheap ones.
