Don't u just hate it when someone cops an attitude w/u & u don't have the slightest idea where it comes from.I sure do. Had the darnest thing just happen on here & i don't understand where this nice little lady is coming from.. She decided one of my discussions was referring to her & she couldn't be more wrong.. I always heard the guilty dog barks first. Why in the world that someone would do this is beyond me. We have been communicating on mylot for a long time & now she's suddenly decided to jump in my shi* over something that didn't have ONE THING to do w/her. We are not close friends on here like some of us are but when i do see her on here which is not too often i always try to respond to her discussions.I sure hate it whem people cop an attitude w/me. How about y'all?

ANTIQUELADY, I hope you're not talking about me! Who would do that? Paranoid or did the shoe fit? I got flamed by somebody the other day. She was making an assumption about myself and others who were criticizing doctors. She accused us of being jealous of their money and said it was unbecoming of an American and to get over ourselves! Some people are either morons or they lack the intelligence to see beyond their own shallowness. I just ignored it. Who would bother to respond to that crap? I guess if you criticize somebody because they're incompetent it's because you're jealous.
As for what happened with you, that's pretty weird. To jump in and start getting all over you without even seeing her name mentioned? Guilty conscience maybe? Wow. It takes all kinds.

She must be suffering from some kind of Paranoia my friend. According to medical dictionary, Paranoia is a mental disorder characterized by unfounded or exaggerated distrust of others sometimes reaching delusional proportions. Paranoid people suspect the motives of people around them, and believe that certain individual or the people in general are "out to get them"
If that is so, you should rather just take pity on her. So better just ignore her, smile and enjoy your weekend.

Hatley! I never thought it could be you. Indeed I've known you as a nice, sensible lady. Anyway, sometimes we can be very sensitive indeed but it is so nice of you to admit your guilt and made this apology. All people commit mistake but not all is humble enough to apologize. Antiquelady is also a very nice lady and surely your apology will be accepted. So go on with the fun! Let's forgive and forget and let's all be friends here. God bless everyone!

She must be going through menopause or she's having her period.
I don't like people with attitude. I like discussing with fun, friendly people. There are people here who just take things too seriously. I hate all-knowing people too, thinking that they could dictate everybody on what's wrong and what's right.
Bless her soul.

It's frustrating, that's for sure. One cannot be sure what someone means in the cyber world; we cannot get clues from the tones of someone's voice, or from their body language. And as a result, a lot of things get misconstrued and often blown out of proportion. You can be the adult, and continue to respond on her discussions (if they interest you), or you can run and hide under the bed.
I went through this a few years back; I wouldn't necessarily count this particular myLot member amongst my close friends, but I still respond to their discussions if it's interesting. I got tired of the drama.

it happens more then ever on here since we are all always talking/typing about whatever we know about. so at times we feel like someone is saying something they are not and misunderstandings happen. next thing we know they have an attitude with us. ive had it happen alsoi bet we all have.

well i guess people do have that tendency to have that attitude..but then i do try not to take it very personal.. i even had some experiences of that here too and i just ignored it i mean, this is a happy place for me, if i would dwell on it more, it would now become a stressful and an unhappy for me.

Don´t let that worry you, Jo. There´s always someone who will not understand your words and will feel bad about it. It happens to all of us, everywhere. I just try my best not to let them bother me. Sometimes, here at mylot, some people get funny ideas because there is a language barrier. And usually discussions are mostly about general subjects. I have seen that you get personal only when you ask us to pray for someone that is ill

I really hate it too when people try and cop an attitude with me but the only thing you can do is just ignore them. Maybe she didn't know that she was copping an attitude and maybe eventually she will see that she was in the wrong and come and apologize. But I would think nothing of it and just move on. Its her fault any way for the misunderstanding of your discussion.

Sorry to hear this ANTIQUELADY!!! When communicating on the internet it's hard to tell what a person is thinking when they reply negatively. I have some social networks and some times my views aren't the same as my friends, which is understandable. There have been several that comment back on my page in a negative manner. Of course when someone starts it I'll finish it!! Anyway, I have the consideration to IM people not show stupidity in public. After IMing we came to a mutual agreement that she has her views and I have mine. She also said that she thought I was being sarcastic when I wasn't. So to make a long story short, people can misinterpret what you're saying when you communicate on the internet. Maybe as people have mentioned she was having a "bad" hair day or PMSing, who knows. Let it go in one ear and out the other!!!

Thought it was very strange for her to react to something that had nothing to do w/her to start with.Happy weekend to u.

Careful there, she might think this is about her too...oh wait, it is about her this time, lol! JK.
Well, I have had my share of these people who thinks that the sun rises and sets on their person, that everything is about them and would start crap and make a big deal out of something that isn't even remotely related to them.
Probably she can relate to your discussion and automatically surmises that it's her without even giving more thought on it.
Whenever I get this from some people I know, I just keep my silence. I do not let myself be provoked by their "challenges" especially when I have nothing to explain in the first place. I don't owe them anything so they go hurl crap all they want; they're the ones who get their hands dirty anyway, lol! Then after quite some time, when dust settles down, they will finally learn that it's not about them and some have the nerve to even blame me for their confusion, lol!
Oh the humanity!

Oh Hatley, please don't take this the wrong way. To be honest I don't even know it was you, and I am referring to the post in general and take it as it is. I do realize that I only know not even half of the story and for that I also apologize to you if I said anything that offended you. Truly, I'm sorry.

I'd ignore it personally. It obviously means she feels guilty or is insecure about herself. I seriously hate that too though so I really get how it feels I go through it all the time. People get their feelings hurt for no reason but sometimes thats just how it is sometimes but yeah that's my opinion on it
Peace

Well...NOW, dear JO! NOW I am copping an attitude...LOL! You know me...take a run at my friends, and I turn into a Grizzly Bear! A "friend" defender!
Terribly sorry this happened to you...and this person MUST NOT know you very well..OR pay much attention! Over our years of chat (including phone) I DO know that you call a "spade a spade" and are NOT given to innuendo's or implying--"you calls 'em as you sees 'em!" So please, dearheart, DO NOT let this person ruffle your lovely weekend feathers! And you do look so nice, today! HAPPY, happy weekend..LUV & HUGZ

Am wandering around like a chicken with it's head off! Got A DAY OFF...and don't know which project to attack! Got so many, as FALL is looming! The last few mornings have been quite chilly...so time to start making "tomato sauce"...I like the stewed tomato sauce! Garlic is all harvested! Am too lazy to make dill pickles, tho! But going to smell up my house with some sauerkraut..love the stuff, and it is expensive to buy here...just like Nutella! But here, I am, planted in front of the computer..NOT getting anything done!
As I said before, don't let this "antsy" lady, ruffle your feathers..and ruin your day! LUV YA!

Now isn't that the truth? Wow, that is really unreal, especially just guessing its her that you're talking about? I guess it's actually funny because she just made an A$$ out of herself.
I've never had that happen here to me, but then again, I don't start many discussions..few and far between. Maybe I'd better get with it so I can see how people REALLY feel, lol! Take care hon and have a great weekend!

hi Antiquelady Maybe you have not been back to that discussion but the user you are referring to just now apologized to you.You are
really wrong about her as You do not know her at all. She is
a nice lady , don't know about little as I am rather heavy but
I just had a very bad day and it was not like me at all. I'am really putting my self on the firing line here, but I was so'afraid
that while I had not thought I overstepped the line of decency in
talking about my bout of diverticulitis I might have been too close to the topic and not realized I had overstepped myself,.Old yes'I cannot deny that. so please this is very hard for me as I am putting myself in the spotlight here,do accept my sincere apology.
yes I am sensitive as I am the oldest person here and mostly old age is not appreciated in the US much.

I think we all have bad days now and then, maybe this was a bad day for her. Maybe she took it as a personal attack. I am sensitive so I understand these things, lol. Most of the time my sensitive side hurts me but sometimes it comes in handy to help others! =)
I don't mind it as long as the person apologizes for it. Then it will take me a day, then I am over it and we can move on from there. I have had bad days where I just felt like the whole world is against me so I get it. We are all human and make mistakes.
I hope whoever your talking about and yourself can move forward and just say it was a really bad day but we can move on...
