Hi guys! I'm a new registered nurse in the Philippines and I'm on to my very first interview soon. I just want to have your advises regarding interviews. I am very anxious about this because I never had any job interview so far in my life. (As I said my first job interview. Hehehe) Can you please give me common questions and as well as the best answers to them? Please... I really need your help. Thanks in advance and may God bless you all. :D

Keep in mind that in an interview, first impressions matter. Carry yourself confidently. Enter the room without hesitation but not too arrogantly in appearance. Keep eye contact. Put that spark in your eye when you talk about nursing. Be ready with the following common questions: 1. Tell me something about yourself. 2. What are your strengths and weaknesses? 3. Why do you want to work in this company/hospital? 4. What can you contribute to this institution? 5. Where do you see yourself in five years time? Lastly, give a firm hand shake and thank the interviewer for the opportunity and time once the interview has ended. Remember to leave a lasting good impression to the interviewer. Good luck.

These are great pointers. Preparing for these questions could get you through just about any job interviews in the future. You will try to impress but please try to be very honest with your answers. If you intend to flower your responses a bit, make sure that you rehearse them so that you will not fumble and just appear to be lying or unsure. Please let us know how it turns out!

Hello. These are usually the tips that my friends gave me when I had my first interview and it actually helped me. Dress appropriately for your interview. Once you enter the room, don't sit down unless you are asked by the interviewer. Here are the usual questions: 1) Tell me something about yourself which is not in your resume - sell yourself, tell the interviewer that you are hardworking, efficient, patient, a good team player... any positive traits that you may have. 2) How do you see yourself five years from now - tell him/her that if given a chance, you will still be working for that company and probably get promoted to a higher position. I hope this helps...Good luck!
