Here none among my friends in Mylot was or is known to me.Even now we know only the usernames of each other. We have never seen each other face to face even once in our lives and are not likely to see each other in future.Briefly,we all are strangers here.I,for one, have no hesitation in accepting any stranger as my online friend.I approve all friend requests that come to me.So far as Facebook is concerned,I have not joined the famous social networking site.

I agree that social networking sites is for making some good friendship. But nowadays there are so many news telling that there should be some control in the social networking sites too . Do you share your all details and posts with all of your friends ?

I dont share my details my be just my name , work on my profile but they wont get anything more than that . Whenever someone ask for my personal email unless we have been talking for a pretty long time and I have interest in them they will not get my email I will tell them to just contact me like they normally do .

I could say that I accept stranger if he has a lot of mutual friends, because some people do not publish their original name, they may be updated with their nick name. So in some cases I may not be able to understand him, in those case I used to check in mutual friend list. It will be helpful for me to find out whether he is a known person for me.

Also get it confirmed through the message before accepting.

Well,if the stranger is from my country,I would accept him.I don't have vital information posted on FaceBook. If he/she is a foreigner,I would not,by any means, accept his friend invitation. But,for the sake of safety,I recommend you to add as friend only the people you know.I don't find smart to brag about how many friends you have, while you actually know very few of them.

Yes, thanks for your recommendation. I do not accept any stranger's request and my facebook is only for near ones and dear ones. I have created my account 14 months ago and I open it daily. But you know, I have still 60 friends which means very well that I don't accept the request of the stranger.

I do, but only if there are mutual friends. If I get a random request and we don't have any mutual friends and they don't have many friends themselves, I assume that it's spam or a fake profile of someone that I've deleted or blocked that is trying to get a look at my profile again. A lot of times if you play games, people that don't know you will add you so they can socialize in the game with you. So if it's questionable, I just shoot them a message and ask =)

I agree--I won't friend a stranger unless we have mutual friends--and usually I need more than one mutual friend between us before I will friend that person. Facebook is too open for me to "befriend" strangers--as it is, I get spam email related to my facebook account; I fear that would increase dramatically if I started befriending people I know nothing about.

No,this is one thing I don't do. I only accept it if the person is a long lost friend or someone I haven't heard for along time. Criminal minded people have upgraded their modes, they have learned to use the net to do their thing, fooling others for their own benefit.

I don't accept strangers in my facebook account. Only those that i know personally are the ones i accept as friends. That's because i don't want strangers to be looking at my albums and things about what me and my friends and relatives are posting and talking about at facebook.

Well,in most cases,i usually don't accept friend requests from complete strangers. But,if there are any mutual friends between me and the stranger, then i think about accepting the request. But,this doesn't happen all the time.I still have about 50 pending requests.Even got no time to check them out.

On facebook I don't accept stranger requests very often. I will look at their profile if I want to add them. If anything looks off, nope, not going to happen...

No, I generally do not accept friend requests from strangers. Unless the person is someone I personally, I deny their requests. The only exception to my rule is conditional based on if they are mutual friends with some of my other friends. Afterwards, I will try to contact my friend who is a mutual friend with this unknown person. Depending on how my friend responds about this stranger, I will either accept or deny their friend request.
