I read in some discussions, people said that they earn money at home by blogging, writing articles, and other stuff. In my mind, at first I thought they must be making hundreds of dollars per month, if not thousand, but when I second thought, its very hard to achieve that figure, in my experience, making my 30 dollars in a month making me losing sleep and energy, but is it the same to other people? I know we must have determination and hardworking but sometimes it really depends on luck. What do you think? What are you doing for online work, share your activities, fellow mylotters. Have a nice day

My online activities are games, email, social networks, and part time jobs. It's nice not there are so many things that you can do in the internet. And i cant believe that while you're socializing you could also earn money by just participating on a discussion.

I make money by blogging and writing reviews for a couple of clients. I also make money by blog commenting, forum posting and using a couple of GPTs and survey sites. However, I'm not making hundreds a month. Most I've made in one month has been $400. I'd like to make more.
I don't think I've spent a terrible amount of energy making that amount. My problem is I'm not very organised, especially when it comes to things I don't really enjoy doing. I can spend a lot of time avoiding it. Therefore, what I've started doing is looking at the things I do to make earn online and dropping or cutting back on the ones I really don't like doing. If I do that, then I'll have space to pursue and fill it with things that I like. That way I'm more likely to feel enthusiastic about doing it.

Hi browneyed, I am quite fond of writing reviews and had tried my luck in a few sites. But, after earning around few 100 bucks, my roads are being closed. The only reason is that I am Indian. Indian participation is limited for reviews. I don't command in writing skills but yet, deserve a place among the ones that attract attention. Actually, that is my most favorite online activity apart from playing online games and sharing light moments with online communities.

Hi triptibaby,
I don't think you should let where you're from hold you back. If you enjoy writing reviews:
- look for someone who'll pay you to do it, or
- set up your own blog and write your own reviews, or
- you could join Hubpages or Squidoo and write reviews there
For the second and third suggestion, you'd of course have to attract the right traffic to it.
I don't write reviews for sites, I write for an individual who hired me. I found that person via Digital Point forums. That might be a place for you to try looking for someone to hire you.
You can also join Fiverr and set up a review service there. Perhaps offer short reviews (200-250 words) for $5 a pop.
Take care...

Well, I have to admit that I'm not making nearly enough money at home to make enough money to replace the income that I would be able to have if I was working outside the house.
I spend the majority of my online time here on mylot because of the fact that I really enjoy the time that I spend on here. The other place that I spend a lot of time is on Fusion Cash because it is fairly easy to earn on there and it is also something that I really enjoy.

Hi wong! I earn a small amount from my online activities primarily because I don't have much time to do it. But I know that if will devote more time in promotional activities, having referrals will help us achieve more income. But this require a lot of patience and hard work. Actually, I have a good start, but since I can not concentrate that much, because of my permanent job which is equally important, I was not able to make follow ups. But I'm sure many of us from here earn hundreds a month.

Hello Wongchoiyee, I've been an online writer for many years now. I totally agree with you that it's not easy to earn that much and I've passed through the hardships of losing sleep and getting a writer's block. But as I progress and discover more opportunities online, I also grew my income and now I can choose my clients and assignments. I don't earn thousands but I earn enough as my online writing is only a part time job. Still earnings from online jobs are variable and there will always be months where you hardly earn anything.

Thankfully after a lot of trial and error I found out that by writing articles online you can actually earn money. Then I established a lot of contacts and ended up setting up my own team of writers. Now I cater for several clients and this has basically become my full-time job. I must say I really enjoy it even though I often work long hours. But at least i am doing something I like.

I was unsure if this was true or not up to a few years back. I always hoped to make money online. For earnings, I basically play poker online. I like and give me money, the profit depends of the month of course, it have months that I win a good amount of money and in others the profit is not that good..I guess the variance is the bad part of poker. I also work with sites, because I like to create them and is the best way to win some extra money without much efforts, but it can be pretty boring because you always need to keep your site update, so, I try to create sites that don't need regular update and only a few that I regulary edit every week. These two gives the majority part of income, but I use some others sites, like mylot and microworkers.

30 dollars without referrals is a lot actually, I'm right now keen on getting referrals and I love this jobs, all you do is promote, promote, and promote, and I love the feeling that somebody is earning for you, it's like you are having employees haha, but I do spend tons of time on managing the relationship with my referrals.
I also have a hubpages started now, so I spend most of time trafficking resources. I enjoy a lot, I love writing and I love people come and see my sites, so please come and see my hubpages if you like.
Fo me, somehow earning at home is my thing, and I will keep doing it, it's a process and it's not just do those site that people provide, you can sell stuff, you can sell our skills, like I'm teaching in English and in Chinese both online, that makes money too.
Anyway, I enjoy it, I love it and I will keep doing it.

I have also been having similar experience ever since. I have been in this line since 2010. All these months I was doing article writing for 3 regular clients. They pay me $1.25 for each 500-word article. Then few months ago I started writing articles in a revenue sharing sites while at the same time doing work for regular clients. However, it proven in my case that working for regular clients is more profitable than writing for a revenue sharing sites. Now very recently I found out about myLot and will see how it goes.
Thanks for posting it. Good topic for discussion. Good luck!
