If you learn swimming, would you like to say that in what age you learn swimming and how much deep water was in which you do it? Really when i was in the age of 10 years, I with some my other friends were going to use daily for three hours an irrigation canal there deepness was about 6 - 7 feet and width was about 30 - 35 feet. What about you please.

I get scared to swim because I am getting cramps in my feet when swimming. I remember my grandmother teaching me how to swim when I was 13. we had gone for a picnic on the beach and when we were in the water, she kept her hand under my tummy and told me to try to do like this and that to swim. I was not aware when I have reached far and Then I knew how to swim. it is very salty water and my cousins kids came from Australia were just floating on the water. later I learnt the trick too. So basically I learnt to swim in the sea by the beach. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

My mother worked full time since I was born til I was almost 18. So she suscribed us to swimming classes, since I was 5. I fulfill all swimming levels. Small fish grade, turtle grade, dolphin grade, shark grade, til I arrived to preteam and team. The first classes were in a very small pool, and after shark level were in the olimpic pool. But it was til this year (I´m 39) that I compete on a lake. I raced in my first triathlon. Blessings!

I started to learn to swim when I was two years old and I was working on perfecting my strokes by the time that I was five years old. I learned to swim in a traditional swimming pool. I started in my grandmother's pool in her backyard and then when I was five years old, I did have swimming lessons at one of the pools in the city that I live in. My knowledge of swimming means that there is no place that I am afraid to swim, I will swim everywhere.

I learned swimming when I was in Grade III, my classmate taught me. Everybody should know how to swim it is not just to be ready for accidents in water but it is also a form of exercise.

The first time i saw the sea was in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China when I was on a business trip. I was so excited and wanted to swim so that I bought a swimwear. It was a lovely day when we drove there, but we had so many things to prepar and visited my customers. It is a pity I did not swim successfully due to lack of time and no traning received for swimming. I plan to travel there again for my holiday.

I was able to learn swimming which is the basic lesson at the age of 16, I remember that was the summer time before I will be 4th year high school. Then I learned the advance category when I am already 21 years old which indeed after my graduation in college. Dude! what do you mean by irrigation canal? Isn't that dirty?

I learned to swim when I was 6. My mom took me to a 6 week swimming course in at the Y. We had to do different types of strokes on different laps and then when finished we had to get ourselves out of the deep end of the pool by using our upper arm strength.

When I was about seven years old, we moved to an apartment complex that was still being developed - only some buildings were ready. A swimming pool was part of the deal. I taught myself how to swim that summer - and the next summer, when we had moved and didn't have a pool, my mother signed me and my sister up for swimming lessons. We rode on a schoolbus to a pool three days each week. When the instructors saw how well I could swim they put me in the Intermediate class - but my younger sister went in to the beginner's. She had lots of trouble learning, and to this day - nearly fifty years later - still has trouble staying above water when in a pool....
