Buying 7D is a better choice or 5D Mark II ?

I have almost decided to buy 7D but still having little confusion between 7D and 5D Mark II. I know 5D Mark III has also launched but that camera is very costly... between 7D and 5D Mark II I feel 7D is better if anyone wants to have sport photography, but can't we use 5D also for sport photography ? that is the only reason and also can any one suggest me to still purchase 5d Mark II even if Mark III is available in the market? Mark II 5D is till the best camera ?

Hi, 5D Mark III is a new launch so it has all the advanced features the 7D hasn't. Check out the video features, megapixels, geotagging and lens compatibility. If the difference doesn't go that far, then I have no reason to spend more on a later model. Most of the time though, it pays off to have the latest model when it comes to electronic technology/

You are correct, Mark III has more advanced feature than 7D. Agree to you also.. may be I will have 7D now and later may be a year after i will purchase mark III :) so till that time we can get 5D Mark III price less :) Thanks for your reply. Have a good day!

Isn't the 5d Mark II more expensieve than the 7D too? I've got a 7D, right now I can't remember why I never considered the 5d Mark II. I think maybe because the 7D must have something I wanted more than more pixels. And possibly price. I'm pretty sure you can use the 5D for sport photography, I think the 7D might be faster. Must check the spec. I love mine though, I'd probably buy the same again if I had to buy a new one.

Yes. you are correct 5d has 3fps where 7d has 8fps, which is faster and good choice for sport photography. Mark II is costly but it is a full-frame... are you seeing any big difference when you take photo in crop camera ?

Yes, there is a big difference between full frame but just need your opinion on other 7D features as well.. Thanks! Have a good day!

The cropping don't really bother me, but maybe, if I was better at taking pictures of dramatic landscapes and other things like that, I'd want it. For macro and sports photography it works just fine. Also, I have fairly good lenses but not the really top-notch ones, so there might be more of a difference if you have the best lenses.
