What Motivates You To Continue To Come Here?

Initially, I didn't know you got paid on this site. And I stayed read-only for a while just to kind of check it out. I come here partly as an escape, sometimes it's a more pleasant place for me to be. And I have time to come here whenever I want. I'm always glad to be here, except once when someone was baiting me. But I ignored it and moved on. Mylot also fills a void for me. And there are people in here that I like to read about what they have to say, even if I have nothing to add to their discussions. There are people that I like. There are some people I've come to respect and admire. And, as I have heard many times from others - it's habit forming!

Well, I tried facebook and hated it. I work at home, and I have extreme agoraphobia, so I have no social opportunities. I like coming here to read what people are writing, comment when I wish, and Mylot has more of a sense of "community" about it than other social sites. facebook is more like high school-- groups and cliques and drama all over the place. Twitter is just plain silly. Here, we have people from all over the world, good discussions going on on dozens of topics, fun talk going on, and people seem to be nicer. I am always glad to be here, even if I am only reading the newest topics. There is always something interesting going on at the Lot, and I like reading about people's lives, thoughts dreams and ambitions, even if I never comment on them. Since I live my life online, this is a great place to be :-)

KrauseHome, I am motivated to continue on Mylot for the socialization. The money is nice but is secondary to the friendship I've experienced here. I think I will be around for a while longer.

I could not imagine not coming here. It has become such a part of my daily life. I have taken on a bit of a social anxiety and so being online has been a good thing for me. The freinds I have found on here have really helped me in so many ways. Given me laughter when I need it, serious replies when I needed good feedback, good freindship as we all need, and a place to go to make some extra money.

I keep on coming back because the discussions are addictive I have never found any other sites where I was able to interact with people from so many different parts of the world and that it is the thing that attracts me the most about Mylot. I am very interested in other countries and cultures and I think that Mylot is the perfect place to learn more about other countries. I love to start discussions and it is always interesting to read what other people think about my topic. If I need advice about something I also come here, and I always find people who are willing to and able to give advice.

I come here for fun and earn some money as well. where ever i go, I think about mylot and try finding some good discussion topics. I think of mylot all the time I am offline and I wish to come here. When I see my earnings also, i feel good. 1 month and 2 weeks now, I have got like $21.09 which is okay for me and i want increase it everyday. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Like you it's the people....the discussions and learning something new everyday....its a fun place to spend some time...meet people.....and have some fun.

hi tina I found mylot whem I was trying to cope with being newly retired. I was floundering with all this time and no real' money except my social security check.I felt like an old used up shoe 80 and not of any use.,b ut I found out that I was of use in mylot as I could help others and make friends and the money part became just the frosting on the mylot cake.I have made friends from all over the world and learned so m ch I would never have known otherwise. I cannot travel long distances due to lack of money and some health issues.I am always glad to be here too as I really treasure all my friends here.

I have made some good friends on here & like to hear what is going on in their lives.We all know the money is nice but u sure aren't going to get rich quick like so many people think.I think u can learn alot from this site & the people on it.I'm nearly always glad to be on w/a few exceptions.

I love learning from and participating in the discussions. I am thankful for the encouragement and friendships. For me, it was never about the money. Mylot is such a blessing. I cannot imagine not being a part of such a special and wonderful community.

krauseHome: You know it much more than myself. We have a variety of people coming here. 1) people who are willing to share all that is happening in their life with or without details and seek our responses and they do learn from our responses. 2) people who have spare time apart from their regular full time work and consider it a motivation to share and earn a little 3) retired people like me -- we spend a portion of our day -- contribute, learn and earn. 4) people who are willing to utilise the opportunity to advise/instruct others because this is a place where we do not see face to face. 5) people who have no other person to talk to in their house -- consider this a safe place to share and earn. 6) Unemployed people eager to earn online come with the hope of earning more, stay here for a few days and then take rest. 7) Some for whom it is an addiction --they just cannot remain without visiting mylot frequently every day. may be some other category of people are also there.

Hi Tina. I've been here forever to when you count my 2 other entities. I keep coming back because of the sense of friends and family I get here. Believe me, it's about me why I stay. I would be one lonely person without you, Winterose, Hatley and others. You all light up my life in a big way.

The initial motivation is to make money. I know it's the reason why all of us are here But after months and years, we begin to enjoy the interaction and friends we made. Not only that, we learn a lot and receives advice to friends and even those who are concerned about what we're going through in life. I vent out my emotions here sometimes, share my own experiences too with others who are in need of advice. And I am certain, this is the reason why I keep coming back to myLot.

When I first joined, it was a way to earn extra money. But, I find myself reading more discussion than, I post on. If, I don't have something to add, I don't comment. I like being here because, it is world wide and I have learned a lot. For me now, it had become a way to relax. If, I can help someone out with my comments all the better. Good luck to all

I do enjoy the exchange of ideas and meeting all kinds of new people. I came at first looking for money, but the talking and sharing had me hooked right away.

The thing that originally motivated me when I became a member of mylot was the fact that I learned that I would be able to make a little bit of extra money working on the site. However, I stay here because of the fact that I've been able to make friends that I wouldn't have had otherwise and I am also able to have contact with adults that I wouldn't really be able to have all the time if I was not a mylot member.

Hmmm this is difficult question for me but yes I will reply lots of good friends like you and others, their discussions, responses are motivates to staying here and I not tell lie but the main motivation is mylot is paying money so I am a member of this site. I know the all mylotters are good but if no earning means no time for spending here.

What motivates me to come here is that I like to type...and I have been told I like to talk, so... I find it very relaxing to sit down in front of a computer and type. I have always liked typing, I guess the way some people like playing cards or boardgames and can sit there and do it for hours. Of course right when I first got into myLot several months ago, I had to cut my Internet off because I could not afford the high bill, so I have been away from myLot for quite some time. Just got back a couple of days ago. One of the fun things that I like about myLot is when people get on here and start asking about the pay and within a matter of minutes someone who I like to call "Mama D" (she does not know this) is all over them, scolding and schooling! I love that! Get 'um mama!!

I'm pretty much the same as you. I can't imagine not being here. I love it here and all the people I meet whom help me through everything I mention here. I don't know what motivates me to keep coming back. I guess it doesn't matter the reason. I am here.

I come here because it's my first time to join a website like this. It's a free registration and I love it. I like trying new things and think many things that I can share it to anyone. I like to discuss that interest me which makes my brain works well. LOL hehehe Anway so far, so good. I also want to earn money too to save money.
