This is in Politics because gay rights is still a politically charged issue, and because what I wrote involves plenty of politics (towards the end, anyway). I did write this with the intention of educating those who happen to read it- I don't want it to be just a historical account, I want it to correct many of the basic assumptions tend to make about homosexuality. For instance, a lot of people still think it's a choice in spite of all evidence to the contrary. I know this site has a greater conservative than a liberal base, but still, I ask: What do you think, objectively?
