Honesty or being selfless and forgiving! What's more important?

What is more important in a relationship? Is it to be completely honest and true - or is it to be selfless and forgiving - always acting in consideration of your partner? If you had to choose one or the other in a partner which would it be? Why?

It's more important to be honest and true. These are some of the most important building blocks in a relationship. Sure, you should also be selfless and forgiving, but it us more important to express your feelings. A relationship isn't made to lie. It makes partners stronger. Being honest and true will help lessen mistakes and improve each other. Being selfless and forgiving can lead to misunderstanding sometimes. Too much can end a relationship.
