Hello mylotters, especially to those roman catholics. When I attend the mass this morning, the priest say that a New Roman Missal will be implemented by December 2012. It is a new version of the old one. In the new version, the original english translation of the holy mass from latin will change. They say that the old english translation is not the exact meaning of the latin version. So what they did is that they translated the latin version to its literal english translation. One example that was changed is the response 'and also with you'. Now i can't remember exactly the new one but it has the word 'spirit' on it. Haha. There are also changes in THE GLORIA. Another is that, here in the Philippines, we use our own language and dialects during holy mass. However, by the time that the new format of the holy mass will be fully implemented, English mass is a must cause there is no new Filipino translation of the new translation is available. Well, by this new implementation, many don't know yet about the english mass. So what our church plan is that, they will use the english mass instead of our own dialect by this September so that the people will know about it. What can you say about having new english translation of the holy mass?
