exercise decreases my appetite

I've only had my gym membership about a month and seeing some results. I've noticed on days I go to the gym I have a hard time eating much. I know I've been drinking alot of water as I need to drink alot of water so I don't retain water and of course it helps with digestion too. I was wondering if exercise has decreased anyone else's appetite?

Of course exercise will not decrease appetite,on the contrary, exercise will increase your appetite. But you should not eat as soon as you finish your exercise, you should wait and have a rest for half hour and more, then you will find you have a good appetite. So you wait for some minutes next time to check it again,I sure you find out that you have a good appetite at that time.

I'm usually busy the minute I get home I don't often have time to think about eating by that point. Before I know it, it's 2pm and I may as well wait til 4-5pm when the family wants dinner. But maybe I'll have a snack of something.

I hardly ever go to the gym. When I do go I usually end up being hungry after, but that's usually because I go to the gym hungry. In fact, I'm trying to think of a time when I've went to the gym and didn't go eat afterwards, not a good habit. I've thought of getting a gym membership but I'd much rather just spend my money on an okay treadmill that I can use in front of the television.

Actually I go there on an empty stomache so I don't get sick. I haven't been eating a whole lot before or after. They do have treadmills at my gym with cable tv infront of each individual treadmill a and with cable tv too

I also find that exercise decreases my appetite. When I'm not exercising I never crave water to drink, infact I usually hate water. When I'm exercising though, I always crave water and I think this helps with the weight loss part.

That's why many people love to go exercise to lose weight. It made yourself less wanting to eat and thus help lose your calories.Just keep drink more water and this is a plus. I also do not feel like eating after exercising each time. Just keep going.

Yes it does. I used to could walk a mile or more and it decreased my appetite. I can't walk now but a few steps without starving for air.

I wish I could do more exercise...it's been a long time since I have been able to. I have arthritis in my knee and hip on one leg and most of the time I am in pain...but when I did I do think it helped to decrease the appetite...like you said I think drinking alot of water does the trick.

Yes it really decreases appetite but I think it also good as it will make you more slim. But you should also monitor that you are getting the right nutrients so that your body can burn something and convert it into energy when your are exercising. Another cause also is the water intake, because your really get tired you tend to drink more water thus you will fill bloated because of water.

I don't think so exercise reduce appetite because after exercise if you have no decipline eating and eating is the main problem. So for me decipline is the best lossing your appetite and selfcontrol..

"NO", I really wish it was that simple for me...But I have noticed that if I am busy doing something for the day, I mean just truly doing other things, It doesn't hit me until later in the afternoon that I have not had anything in my mouth all day except my toothbrush. and I wasn't really hungry because my mind was on something else...

Yes it does decrease one's appetite, that is why they tell you to do it more often. It burns calories and also helps with alot of other functions of the body as well. It is a healthy aspect part of loosing weight if that is your ideal goal.

Umm.. I can make an analog - When the month of end year exam comes I will be so busy. I go to campus at 6 am - go to laboratory at 4 pm - back home at 6 pm - sleep until 11 pm - study until the dawn comes :D and guess how I remember to have some foods? only when I have to take a lunch The rest time I will just simply take some water or a cup of tea / coffee I even ever forgot 2 days on having a meal at all ( I drank water all the time ) But decreasing of appetite only happens when I was busy . When vacation comes - even I went to aerobic class to exercise - I always have a big appetite . I always gain about 5 -10 kg at vacation . So exercise isn't the factor of losing appetite for me The main factor is - being stressed :D

Reading to your question makes me comparing my appetite after swimming and jogging. After jogging and of course thirsty after that, drinking lots of water makes me not hungry that much. Different with swimming. I will have more foods during dinner after swimming since i am not that thirsty under water. And dont expect me to drink pool water lol.
