I really hate when I go to establishments like coffee shops and malls that does not offer free wifi connection. While you are paying for their services and buying their products, why not offer free wifi to their customers. Some establishments require subscription to their service provider to access their wifi connection. Thats why I shop more on places that offers network connection as the same time I could check for reviews of the products that I will buying at the same time I could connect to my social networks. Places like Gateway of Ayala Malls and some Starbucks branches doesn't have free wifi here in the Philippines. What do you think of theses guys? DO you also have some places there that doesn't offer free wifi?

Well, in all fairness, they are there to sell certain products & services, not wifi... You mentioned coffee shops... They are there to sell coffee, not Internet service... Places that do offer free services, It's their choice to offer, not a requirement... When I go out shopping for certain products, I do all the research at home before going out to get it... I don't need to do that on the spot...

Well it does cost money to have wifi. If this is a service you want from a company and buy their products you could meantion that to the establishment. Certainly finding places that do havc wifi is your option. You can meantion those places too and how you enjoy visiting them, having some java and using your computer at the same time. From their perspective they might see more steady customers but will have a few computer people sitting around for long periods too. Some like it for business some don't I guess. It depends how they want to be viewed I suppose?

all over the town I live in their is no free WiFi. its all one company. of course the internet company locally charges hourly, daily or monthly. and you only get megs or a free gigs. Now I am traveling, and I actually found a airport here in Alaska that charges hourly. I thought that's dumb, never heard of a airport that charges to use internet. also found out Airlines Alaska offers 15min free internet then they charge you. I didn't do it. but I thought that was funny.
