My daughter is two and I carry her in my back when she sleeps and we are in the go. She hates the carriage but is still too young to walk everywhere. My arms have had tendinitis from wrists to shoulders for picking her up as a baby. It seemed normal to others while I nursed but I still got stares from non nursing folk :( I now have met a mother at the park who carries her three year old in the back and one year old in the front. She is stronger than I am ...wow ! I say to her. When we go downtown, a back pack is so heavy and I can't imagine doing that everyday. A carriage is too hard to treck up and down the subway so the carrier helps. It carries up to 45 lbs. she is 35pounds already. I plan to go all the way until she beaks it down because it provides so much comfort and ease in life to us both. My back never hurts but my legs do get a workout if I do stairs! I lost 15 lbs during a real busy week in our life and I say it was due to the stress and walking around everywhere with her on my back. I'm still getting stares but I don't care, what do you think?

I can't imagine carrying a child on your back after they reach a year or so in age. I can remember picking up kids and carrying them right on my hip around the house though. My daughter used to use a stroller to get my grandson around and she went through two of them. He was probably nearly four before she quit using one.

I used a stroller wih my eldest ten years ago before I knew about the carriers ease. I only used the carrier with my you gets for medical reasons as she was a chubbier bag then her skinny sister and I've gotten seven years older so the tendinitis was horrible! She also nursed for longer than my eldest too so they were two very different bunches from the same vine I guess. I stopped using the stroller around grew and a half when nap times where less prevalent and. Was able to wake her up to walk if need be. I could never do the hip carrying without support o the carrier which transforms to hiP carrying too. Maybe for a minute h any longer and I'm out of breath from pain. Thank you for your comment happy MyLotting!!

I don't think that you should feel any kind of problem with stares. Its their problem. She is your daughter and you are a good mother. But, at the same time you also need to take care of your condition. She needs your help, that is fine but, you also need to be fit and fine to be there for her always with fit body. So, first take care of yourself and get well soon. We should never take others opinion when it comes to family and friends. Its your life and life is precious.

I think as long as the child still fits and you could still carry the child perfectly then it's okay to be using those things. I don't think it's a matter of opinion for everyone because that's what's comfortable for you. I have a friend who only used hers for a little while because her child was so big he wouldn't fit nor looked comfortable at all. Besides, what would you do with those things if you're just going to store them? It's better that the child breaks them from over-usage. Those things are costly firstly. But I am bothered by mothers who nurse their kids (with obviously big teeth) I just don't feel comfortable. But that's their thing, so I can't really do anything about it. Have a great mylOt experience ahead!

if you are very aware about your child,at the end of the day ,its your call and you have to decide, normally i think around 3 years would be fine for your kid ,and you should care more for your kid
