Does the Payout on mylot feel like an unachievable thing for you?

In my opinion one of the main problems with this site is that there should be more tasks so as to encourage mylotters to increase their payout more quickly. The admins should try to encourage task creators to use the site to post their tasks, by advertising more about this possibility. Besides the fee to be paid for a task creator is too high in my opinion. It is set at 20%. What do you think?

When myLot started out there were no tasks. They were added later and are not the main way of earning here, as you know. MyLot first and foremost is a discussion site and both the tasks and the rewards are there as an additional way of boosting our earnings but the main way to earn is in the discussions. I hardly ever do the tasks and prefer the discussion area. I also have no problem in reaching payout every month (when I have nothing else going on offline taking up my time). I don't think that it is at all difficult to reach minimum payout each month, floowing the instructions given to us by myLot, without the tasks. In my opinion if a user enjoys completing tasks then they should go to those sites specifically created for them and I don't think it would be a good idea to promote myLot as a task site or for myLot to make the tasks cost less for the creators. If they cost less then many more tasks might appear but then there would be the need for an admin here to check that they were within the Terms. That would be another cost too.

I have no idea what could be done but lowering the fees for the creators, imo, is not the right direction.

@mysd, I don't think it would be a good idea to promote myLot as a task site That maybe the reason why this mylotter is insisting "task" increase. Due to wrong information from whoever mylotter - Don't you think there are scammers and trolls promoting wrong info about mylot?

yah, the fee for task (participating on task here) is lower compared to other sites that are mainly for task (that's one reason why I don't care much on task here in Mylot) But to promote this site for "task" is not good either.

Hi grkelly, while you have a very interesting suggestion... let me just say that most of the people here do not rely on tasks. As it is easier to increase your earnings here by just regularly and actively participating in discussions. When I was new here, I used to do the tasks too because I wanted to earn more than 10 dollars before the month end. But then I realized it's more fun and easier to just respond on member;s discussion and you will even get to know more lotters here.

Yeah I agree with you that by being active in discussions is a good idea. But many people feel that is not enough. In fact I just commented on another person's discussion who decided to leave mylot once and for all because s/he feels it is too difficult to earn money.

@ grkelly, Yeah I agree with you that by being active in discussions is a good idea. But many people feel that is not enough. HOW'D YOU KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE FEEL IT IS NOT ENOUGH? I HAVEN'T SEEN MANY MYLOTTERS ASKING FOR TASK INCREASE. MYLOT IS A FORUM SITE...AND NOT FOR TASKING!

"I just commented on another person's discussion who decided to leave mylot once and for all because s/he feels it is too difficult to earn money" That user was probably expecting to get rich for doing nothing here as they had only (3) by their username

I have done that before to do some task, but it all are of no use to increase my earnings. You must not just make many discussions here, but also try to answer almost all the discussions you could encounter.I bet you could increase your earnings in an instant.I have proven that to myself.

@berting, Yah, MyLot is a forum site and not a task site like Microworkers or any other sites. So, participate actively with discussion will pay us more

That is really correct and true to my observations that myLot really is a good place to earn an extra income. You just do your things and I have just answered others discussions and many responses are in my way.

yes the more you participate the more you earn. Actually i find it quite relaxing here as it is just as if you are talking to friends when you discuss and debate. And you earn money for it

I tend to agree with you and probably that is one of the reasons why the number of tasks is not too high on this site. It might be better for the site to give a bit more rebate to the task creators to increase the flow of tasks onto the site. Of course, I use this site for interesting discussions in multiple forums and usually reach the payout mark in a month or two and consider it more as a bonus for some excellent discussions on my favorite topics. Cheers! Ram

I guess in sites like these there is no way around administrative tasks. The only way is to deal with such entities with a strong hand and make it more difficult for them to post such tasks. I do not think that would be related to the task fee percentage. Cheers! Ram

Yes I think so too. 20% is a bit too high. Discussions are a great way to earn money here as after all you discuss things you like or are interested in.

Honestly, in my 4 years here in mylot I never rely on "task" for my earnings or additional earnings. I only enjoyed mylot through inter-action with other mylotters. I have other earning sites for task and other ways to earn- but I don't do any task here in mylot. Mylot for me is a forum site- which is the primary image of this site (and not the task) Regarding earnings- I can say that I've reached payout triple the minimum just participating the forum alone.

That's good. I think that after all this is the site's main intention - interaction, friendship etc. But I think that if there were more tasks many mylotters would be more active and motivated to use this site.

A true mylotter doesn't need ANY TASK to be motivated! So true jai! As you said grkelly, it's all about good discussion and interaction here. A lot of myLotters are active and if you see some inactive, it is not because of tasks alone. It is because we all have personal reasons. Some are just busy with their offline work that they don't have more time to spend here. WHile some just realized myLot could not make them rich and leave. I don't think tasks along is the reason why others aren't active.

Well, that is one potential that the myLot admin should look into. I know that myLot also wants to explore the potentials of tasks as a mainstream here in myLot. But maybe they don't have much capability of controlling task workers and task creators as of the moment. Maybe in the future, myLot will improve their tasks system. But I do agree with you. Earnings from myLot tasks is a great boost to earning and reaching payout easily here.

Yes, I would agree that tasks do help. Mylot is a paying forum, but I won't mind if mylot would find other ways where members could earn here. Anyway, there are games section here in mylot and I haven't explored them. Is there a way to make some money with them?

grkelly no I do not as in five years I have only twice missed the payout and I was ill and hospitalized. you cannot come to our site and just be here and expect money to pour in to you for no reason.for any place even online if you want to earn you have to work for it.too many do not realize we must post quality posts not tons of silly useless three words phrases that will not earn anything. make quality posts, read the guidelines and the FAQ's and learn how to use my lot to start with then you will earn and you will participate you will make friends and enjoy discussing and responding as you establish really lasting friendships.,its a good site to earn if you just participate and make quality posts even without any tasks I have made a dollar a day often and 30 to 40 dollars a month so do not tell me its hard to do at all. any worthwhile thing takes some endeavor.

did it occur to some that when mylot says its a discussion forum that its based mostly on making discussions and responding and commenting, not on tasks. for those to whom tasks are the thing there are sites for you with nothing but tasks. mylot is not a forum for taskslets leave my lot as it is.if it aint broke don't fix as the old lady said and I agree.

Actually, I like doing both..its kind of challenging to reach the target..so doing tasks to reach it does feel as if I am cheating..lol.. but I do use it to reach the payout level. :) Having said that, I dont really come here to earn monies. But I do have a lot of friends. I like to keep in touch with them. :)

Up to date, I have tackled 493 tasks of which 445 were approved and my total earnings by doing tasks have been $554.28 This does not mean that I have neglected participating in discussions.I have so far posted 550 topics and responded to 5110 topics. I don't think this includes comments. Increase in tasks will surely increase earnings here without sacrificing participation in discussions. Tasks give one an opportunity to learn in that when the subject is new a search on the Net will equip one with a lot of knowledge on the subject.

That is rather high! I didn't think it was that high - perhaps that is why so many tasks are extremely low paying. Yet they are accepted and done so that one can reach payout. I set my payout at 25.00 because for me, 10 is just too small, and doesn't make a dent in terms of what I use the money I make on the internet for. 25.00 from here, to paypal, then to my bank, along with 25.00 from another source - and I can pay for my husband's glaucoma eye drops each month (one of them, anyway...lol) and have a bit left over for something else. Like cat food.

I think there are tons of task sites out there for people who like to do tasks. There is no other discussion site like MyLot and that is what it does best. There are lots of people who have no problem interacting with people, having fun and reaching payout every month. It is about communication, not money.

Mylot allows one to earn for posting discussions and responses as well as participating in tasks and so forth. The idea is to be patient and participate often. Mylotting is a lesson in thinking, reading, and engaging. It is a community that is worldwide. Some have been here longer then others. But, I can almost bet you that those who have received multiple payouts were willing to take the time to participate as much as they choose; however, they choose with the realization that the earnings come from much time and effort. When you know what it is all about it gets more achievable.

I'm not familiar with doing the tasks on here, but I can relate to the feeling of payout being hard to achieve. I've been on here for about a year and a half, and I'm nowhere near close to reaching the payout. I will admit that I'm not as active on here as I am other sites, but it feels like I won't reach payout anytime soon. I mainly view this site as more of a hobby. Hopefully if I keep plugging away at it, I'll be able to reach payout eventually.

I think it is hard to make much money from mylot. For me, I don't have much time on mylot. and as a non-native English speaker, it is so hard to make so many responses and discussions on mylot.

I want to do a task but i don't know how to do the entry field , and even don't know where to find it.I have a received a message like this -T he task creator rejected your submissiom because you left the entry field empty.
