In these days everyone is there on Facebook whatever the age must be.Nowadays a boy or a girl of 8 also have a account in Facebook. And this young ones are not aware of the things available according to their age and they may use the pages which are not for them. They will not become a good citizen if they don't care and so Facebook should also limit the age of their users like 13 or 14 years. So, that they must be able to differentiate what is good and hat is bad. What do you think share your views

I think facebook has a limit of age upon registration. Well I'm not sure about it but there are several children who cheated about their age. Take for example my cousin he cheated his age. His just 6 years old then he registered as 18 years old.

Facebook wants more users. They won't make it difficult for very young people to register.

In yahoomail you cannot register if you're under 18years old. You must have the parents consent first before you can register. When I was registering at facebook 4 years ago. It needs email address upon registering right? But knowing technology for sure maybe fb has changed their procedures upon registering.Maybe you will not need email address.

even they have the limitation for the registration humans is more smarter than the program, well I have allot of nephews and niece (age like 4,7,13 years old.. etc) and amazingly they can use facebook. this problem is depending now to the parents of those kids, like they should provide rules and limitation using modern technology. My nephew have a facebook account but even allot of kids have it we encourage him to play out side and have fun like we did when we were kids. :)

well i don't think it is good for a child below 18 years to have accounts at facebook and even the rules and regulations of facebook does not permit that so as a parent if you see your child below 18 on facebook, you have to report the accounts to banned.

I think that there is a lot of things we ought to consider with this, even parents register their own kids and posts their kid's photos in the site, i believe there is the age requirement when you register for your account but that can easily be fooled for when one inputs age that is acceptable then the registration will push through.

I think it is okay when they are mature when they join Facebook. I think maybe once they are a teenager it becomes okay. But I hope they learn at school or at home what kind of dangers lurk on Facebook and other places on the Internet. If they are responsible and educated about what to do when they are online. Then I guess it would become okay for them to use it once in a while.

No one can differentiate what is good and what is bad. But only facebook can do it. Facebook should apply a rule at the time of creating account they should demand the ID proof like license or election card or bank passbook anything. At least less age persons cant create account if they demand the ID proof like bank.

I always think that facebook should make something that limit the age in facebook, may be something like born certificate to get verified? or ID card that shows the age.

Facebook does have restrictions but at the same time it's not hard for someone to lie about their date of birth when registering on the site, I'm sure lots of 8 years olds are computer savvy enough to do this. I know of people in my life who allow their kids to go on facebook and they somehow monitor their activity through a computer program, their kids know they are being watched so they aren't doing anything sneaky.

Even though there is age restriction in facebook, most of the people do not mind it at all. Because the fact that most of them consider the social networking site as a one to have some enjoyment though games and all. I could say that unless the social networking site is not going to restrict the age properly, there will be a lot of fake profiles.

Well in my opinion internet is not for children under the age of 10. How can you stop a child going where he is not allowed to go. Not only Facebook they should be banned from using the internet or if the internet is so important for their studies or what ever they wana do this should be done in the presence of their parents .

Hi friend, you are right, lot of persons creating fake accounts in fb, they are giving the fake details, lot of children using fb in their school days and getting addicted with it, parents must watch their kids activities and guide them in a good way to avoid this kind of issues

Normally internet does not allow people under the age of 13 years to connect online but I also knew people who are 7 years old having a FaceBook account! I'm on there since I was 14 and I only accept people who I really know in real life and if they previously say that will add me right there! I'm contrary that 7years old have a facebook account but I think it's fault of globalizzation and modernizzation!

I have seen a dramatic transformation, regarding the kids and teens. When I was 8 or 9 I played with my friends outside, ran, hide and seek.We didn't even know what a mobile phone was.Internet?Inter what?Is it a Football team?I had my first phone in my 5th grade,as a gift for passing an exam with flying colors at a school I went.I was "Oh my God!You can listen to music! You can even make pictures!" Now,when I see youngsters half my age with that kind of technology,it makes me frighten a bit about the future.Facebook,yeah..I didn't know what it was until some years ago. When you see what photos this kids make, they have makeup on them, they're wearing bras, etc. It makes you think hard about what the world will be when these kids will become adults.

I do agree with you that age restrictions must be put on Facebook. According to me, only above the age of 18 should be allowed on Facebook since it is no-longer a social network but a mixture of virtually everything but mostly Adult Contents
