Has It Ever Made You Angry?

My husband woke up in such a bad mood today and I could not figure out why. He was so angry and it seemed he was angry at me. I didn't do anything so I could not understand where his anger was coming from. A couple hours went by and he finally said do you still love me? I said of course I do, why are you asking that? He said he had a horrible dream that felt so real that I was cheating on him with someone that we see every day. Aah, now the anger made sense, the dream was getting to him. I just wish he would have talked to me about it sooner so we could have talked about it and been over it and he would have felt better. That is my man for you though, hold it inside until he can't take it anymore. Has a dream ever felt so real that it made you angry when you woke up?

It's not funny, but it's ironic funny that he gets mad at you for something you didn't even do. I saw on television one time, and I can't remember if it was a man or woman actor, but they were talking about how their spouse had been so angry at them. And the attitude went on for days. When they finally asked what it was they did, it was something they had dreamed. The man/woman had never done it. It wasn't something so bad as cheating, but it was something that clearly made sense enough for the person to think it actually happened.

My younger sister had strange dreams when she was pregnant. One about throwing the cat into the fish tank. The other one was she was mad at her husband for flirting with some blond and carrying on. When she thought about the dream, though, she realized she was the blond in the dream.

Yeah I thought it was odd that he got so angry about something I did not even do but he is paranoid at times about losing me. But if he would have talked with me about it right away we could have gotten over it much sooner! But it was better than going on with it for days, then I would have been mad at him for carrying it so long for no reason!

I had a dream my dad had a heart attack last night. What annoyed me was that in my dream they said only one person could visit him before surgery, and I let my sister go! I woke up and was like, why did I let Mindy be the one to go see him?

My husband tries to talk to me about things but certain things he closes down still. It is a work in progress...One day we will get there. He does open up, it just takes time with him.

My former roommate woke up once and was so mad at me until she finally admitted that she dreamed we had a fight. Well, a few years later she woke up mad at me again - I told her: "I don't know what you think I did in your dream, but I didn't DO it!"

I have woken up alot after having dreams! My are pretty bizarre and make no sense! That makes me angry! I wish I would have normal dreams that make sense! I don't have anyone to talk it out with so I end up working through it on my own! I also hate when I have a nightmare! That makes me not want to go back to sleep!

Hello Lovingmybabies, He can't help it, of course he thought he can brush it off but he can't. but that seemed not fair at all, next time he should tell you at the earliest so that you wouldn't get worried any more. you have so many duties every day and you can't afford to get worried for something like that.

Yeah I just wish he told me sooner so I didn't have to wonder for so long! I was not mad or anything that he dreamed it because we cannot help it but if he told me sooner it would have been done with. And I could have felt better knowing what was going on...

no, never. may be first few minutes as soon as i woke up, i do get angry. but then i realize, its just a dream and i laugh at it. May be your hubby has insecurity feelings about that person. so as soon as he had that dream, he thought it may come true one day. Its just that he loves you so much, that he is scared to loose you.

Yeah I am the same way. It bothers me for a few minutes then I am okay. Very good observation, he does have insecurities with this person which absolutely blows my mind. Every time he is here though you can see my husband tenses up a little bit. But my husband is too nice to tell him not to come here. He has no need to worry about it but he does. I love my husband so much, I would never hurt him like that. He just needs to believe me now...

yaa, you need to find out ways to make him believe that you only love him and no one else. or else you may end up with a messed up relation for no reasons.

I agree with you because simple insecurity can lead to distrust and paranoia in a relationship. he should trust you because I now your loyal to him. I hope he can get over of this feeling he has with that other guy

I have had dreams that have mostly affected my whole day. Not usually angry ones, but some that make me uneasy or sad. It is amazing how real they can seem and how they can affect our moods and put us out of sorts. He probably did not think you would understand about the dream or that you would have supposed he really doubted you. I am glad you guys could talk it out.

Yeah I have had some dreams that do that to me as well but nothing that made me angry like that. Yes it is crazy how real some of them feel. Sometimes it's really scary when they feel so real like that. Yeah he finally opened up to me about it and I am glad he did! I was so confused before he told me. But it would have been nice if he didn't wait so long to tell me! Lol.

No, when I dream sometimes when I woke up I can't remember the story. I just have to take a minute to think what was the whole story and think of all the characters behind.

Scared? Yup! REal....Yup! Wake up crying....yup! But not angry. I have had dreams that seemed so real I cried and cried after them....then there are the good ones where you just want to go back to sleep and get back into the dream! Glad you got it all talked out though!

Yeah I have felt so many other emotions but never been angry. It takes me a few minutes to realize it was just a dream and I am okay. Yeah I have had dreams that made me scared or sad. And I have good ones where I just want to go back to sleep as well. It's funny because when you have the bad ones and finally try to go back to sleep you go right back into the bad dream. When you have a good dream and you want to go back to the dream you can't!

No and yes. Not the same kind of dream but the real feeling that struck me after waking up from dreams. I have dreamed of something very bad that when I woke up I really felt scared. I even called my loved ones to know that everyone is fine. That was a bad bad dream that seems so real.

In fact there were times, but not angry. Mostly, I may be so frustrated or scared of the dream scenes. There were occasions I had dream of fatal incidents thereby I may get up instantly and get scared of it. Quite rare, but it happens. But most of the dream happens if I had some kind of thought/incident anything similar to it, on the same day time. I have noticed recently a similar incident. About 2 week back there were heavy flood and rains in Phillipines and I had a lot of discussions and viewed a lots of pictures and videos about the incident. In fact for 2 days there were continuous discussions with many people on this topic. On the second day, I had a dream that I was sitting roof top of my home which was surrounded with water and an electric wire just infront of me, where I was sitting and I was so scared that I may touch on the wire and would get shocked. As I scared, I tried to move around and got touched the wire and I fell down from the top of the house. Suddently I got up and it happend around early morning and I had discussions so late night, before sleep. So, it happens as a continuation to the previous days matter and this is just one example and there were many I can remembered of...

Hi, Nothing to worry. After all, it is a dream and he also well aware of it. Also, it proves that how much he loves you and a simple dream caused him to express his anger, imagine how much he is closer to you. We can measure people in such situations only and now it is proved. Any way, don't mind, he will be alright. When it comes to dream, we cannot predict anything. Dream is just dream and we cannot link it to anything. How is he now? Hope he is recovered from all bad moods and become normal as how he is always.

I have never been angry by a dream either. Sad or scared yes but never angry like my husband got. It was weird. That was the first time in 8 years I have seen that happen to him. It was like he was still in the dream! That does happen a lot where we will dream of something that we have been seeing or hearing about. That has happened to me a few times. I am not sure what triggered my husbands dream though. I definitely was not cheating on him and never would.

I've had dreams like that where I woke up angry and I've also had dreams where I've woken up crying. As soon as I read the first few lines of your discussion I thought to myself "I bet her husband had a bad dream". I'm guilty of doing that to my boyfriend a few times and he's also guilty of doing it to me. It's ridiculous to get mad at someone over a dream, but sometimes I guess we just can't help but let it get to us. Your husband should've told you he had a bad dream when he woke up, instead of holding a mini-grudge and taking it out on you.

I have never had dreams that make me angry but then again it takes a lot to get me angry in most things. Yeah I wish he would have talked with me about it sooner. He said he wanted to but he thought it was going to turn into a fight. I was not mad at all which surprised him but we cannot help what we dream about. I was more upset that he was so angry for what appeared to me for no reason until he told me about the dream!

Funny you should mention this. Yesterday, I had a dream that was very vivid and while I was happy in the dream, out of it made me very sad. The feelings it evoked were so strong and every time a picture from the dream came to mind I would burst into tears. I kept seeing the dream while I was awake for a long time. I have been unwell so maybe that was having an effect on me as well. During another sleep, the dream continued and again it was a happy dream but this one was a bit strange but still very strong. The dream continued again into yet another area and this time I was in neutral territory but I have been left confused. Dreams can be so weird. I don't think one has ever made me angry though. Scared, confused and unhappy or happy but not angry. Sounds like your hubs might be feeling insecure. Don't ever take your loving each other for granted sweety. Freshen it up from time to time so he is reminded, it's good for both of you.

I'm sorry that you have been having dreams like that! The real ones always have an effect on us somehow. I have had plenty of dreams that felt so real and did either have me so happy or crying from fear. I never had a dream that made me angry either. It was so strange that my husband had a dream like that. He was just so mad! I think he is insecure and it hits at different times. It has never happened like that in a dream before. I will definitely do that! =)

No, not at all with me but, it happens with my wife. She never gets angry but gets scared of it. I usually tell her to be calm and feel good as it was just a dream. I also tell her that if you see something bad in dream that means something good is going to happen. Good thought also wins over bad. You must have also felt it when your husband called that he loves you or you said to him the same. Its the best way to get rid of anger. The dreams are not so important in life when they are scary. Its kind of unethical to be angry out of a bad dream and scare the real person in your life. Have a sweet dreams to you and your husband.

Crisp, clear, bold and fearless communication is the essence of every relationship. Relationships get bitter not with someone's fault or mistake, its just a lack of communication with proper expression and true emotions.

I can't say that a dream has ever made me angry. But I've had dreams that made me anxious. I can't exactly remember details of the dream, but I think it involved getting a reward if I worked really hard. And when I woke up, I had the feeling of wanting to get out, or roll up my sleeves to do something. And it was a weekend, and I had nowhere to go.
