So many people are using the internet now for business and school that if it were to suddenly not be available a lot of people would be ruined. What do you think would happen?

Ehh, I don't think so, since we (in my opinion) are adaptive enough to work and go on with our daily lives in case of such scenario.
Sure it may cause such kerfuffle, but give it time and eventually we'll get used to it.

I think the world would fail without internet as it is right now. I don't think it's a good idea that everything has become so digital.

Hi,
A world without internet? End of days without it?
I don't think so. We may be dependent on some aspects of our environment like air, water, food and natural balance but I don't believe civilization would fail without internet. Sure, we would go back to the old days of snail-mail, information lag, or beating drums to send communications to distant places but I'm sure life still goes on.
Even in our place, I managed to live without an internet connection at home, my only access being in the library or elsewhere, but life is still going on as usual here, same old town, happy and vibrant.

I don't really believe so. Even before the internet, I'd want to assume that there have been libraries that have books for the "LIY" people. The internet isn't an exception, as it spreads information at a much more rapid pace as well as spread opinions on products.
Just a thought..
