I like dancing because it is an expression of the body from the music that you like listening to. In fact, we used to have a dance group consisting of 3 boys and we used to dance professionally on tv on a semi weekly basis. Now the dance step we do are a combination of funk and jazz and I would say I find our dance step very fun and enjoyable to execute. I do observe other types of steps and dance and I could see a lot of other dances which seems fun to me even if I don't do them. Some I could see is tap dancing, swing which is with a partner and some acrobatic and robotic moves which are for the dancer with stronger bodies. How about you, which type of dancing do you like and enjoy and find the most fun?

I am not much of a dancer. But in my younger years, my friends and I always join school programs and render a dance number. One kind of dance that I wish that I could have really studied on was SWING. It is such a light feeling dancing it.

Yes, I also like to learn that but never had the opportunity so far. Especially if you find a partner who is good at it and also attractive, then the fun is raised even more :)

I'm not really a good dancer. In fact, my body is hard as a stick when it comes to dancing. However, I entered a dancing class as my P.E. during my college days. Guess what kind of dancing it is.
It's line dance! I had fun dancing the steps of line dances. Plus the country music used in the class is really catchy and rhythmic. My special move is the hitch hikers move. It comes natural with the beat of some Beach Boys songs! I love those carefree days of dancing for fun!

I don't know what line dance is. Can I find it somewhere like in youtube? What I imagine when you say line dance is the kind of dance you do in debut where you hands are behind your back while you dance some decent steps with a partner, and there are other couples doing the same steps together. Is this the one or is it another type?

Thanks for making it clear for me
I do am referring to cotillion in debuts because I felt that the dance they are doing might be called line dance, but now I know it's not. Don't worry, I believe what you say

Well, the very definition is in its name itself. Line dance is dancing uniformly in a line. Here, it is quite easy to spot who are making mistakes in the dance as you are all visible and in a straight line. I remember our practical examination with this one. You are always sure who made the wrong move, reverse turn or the one who is just copying the steps from others. I admit, I mostly enjoy spotting the difference in the line! You must be referring to cotillion in debuts. It is more like social dance and line dance I think is like a country style dancing more specific than social dance itself. But I am no expert in the technicalities of dances. So don't believe much of what I say out in here.

I like interpretative and ballroom dancing. However, I'm not that good in dancing. I just like dancing. Whenever I hear loud music, it excites me and I feel like dancing. LOL. Happy mylotting.

Yes, I think love of dancing is closely related to love of music. I only dance to the beat of music I like. I would probably try ballroom dancing when I get older to continue to have an interesting exercise in my old age.

I also love watching couples dance the swing and it's something I really wanted to learn. It looks so suave and probably could attract a lot more girls if you're good at it :D

Girls do like a guy that can dance. Or at least it seems like that. The Lindy Hop looked especially fun way back when. I feel like taking up a class or two when I have some time.
