Death comes in three

"Death comes in three" .. so have you heard of this saying? I've heard this from one of my officemates...and recently, something really weird happened. For the last three weeks, three of my colleagues Mom had died...each week.
Before that, my colleague who said that quote had an experience with that as well. It happened with her classmates.
I know it can be a coincidence...but if it is...its one weird coincidence.

My mum told me the same thing too. This is an old saying yet it holds.
Recently we heard that the Hollywood Director passed away, last Friday
my son's schoolmate mum passed away and yesterday Neil Armstrong passed
away. It usually comes in three. By the way which country are you from?
Is this saying 'universal'? or is it only centred in certain continents.

I have never heard of this saying before. And I do not want this to happen. Three people gone in my life will be such a pain :( I do not want to experience that. It is pretty scary.
