don`t you remember one of the best forward in 1990-2000??
i choose Gabriel Omar Batistuta as number one in that era..
who is Gabriel Omar Batistuta??
He is argentinian footballer..
He is legend for Fiorentina, AS ROMa and of course his country, Argentina..
Until now, no one can break his record,as the top scorer for Argentina..
And with him, AS ROMA can get the fourth trophy of Serie A..
he is my idol even he had been retired from the football career..
i think he is one of the forward which have complete ability for scoring from shooting, header and one by one with the goalkeeper..
He make every goalkeeper are afraid of him..

I haven't seen too much of him, but I know that he was the idol of many kids who were bigger than me. What I remember is an overhead kick goal which he has scored when he still played for Fiorentina, his long hair and his smile, which was almost always on his face. He was no doubt a great player, somebody who will always be remembered as an exponential player for Argentina.

yes and he is well-known too his style after scoring..celebration style..
he is like Rambo..he run in the corner and he pretend to shoot one by one in front of him..
Very heroic i think...
and everyone become his fans because of his humble attitude, hardworking, smile, finishing touch, his style after scoring, and his command in pitch..wonderful
don`t forget he is family man too

It is clear for me that you know all it can about your idol. Like I said, I cannot remember too much of him, but I know that he was a humble person, somebody who had success but still remained polite to the people, not like many stars nowadays.

Of course I remember him, Gabriel Omar Batistuta, a great player in his time. Serie A is the league that make her more shine and intense. Many of his goals that got her nickname "Batigol". you know? Until now in the Argentina national team no one can be as or beyond the acquisition Batistuta.

Batigol was one of my favorite players during the 90s. He was a supreme goal poacher and could score goals in any situation. Sadly during those days we did not have the coverage of the European Leagues in India, so all that I have seen of him is during the world cups and I loved whatever I saw during that period.
Cheers!

I remember Batistuta. He was my favorite football player and maybe he still is. I like Argentina those days, when Batistuta plays. It is shame that he never become World champion with Argentina, but anyway he was one of the greatest. I was very sad when he stop playing.

of course..he is unlucky..
he never won the world cup with his country
but i think he is not only one, the greater world cup which never get the world cup winner.
Don`t you remember Johan Cruyff, Marco Van Basten,Ruud Gullit, Dennis Bergkamp, Hernan Crespo, Ryan Gigs, Alan Shearer, David Beckham, Michael Owen, Ruud Van Nistelroy, Raul Gonzales and many more great footballer never touch the trophy of world cup??
many fans is sad when he is retired from the football career..

no doubt..He is one of the soccer legend..
Yes, he is unlucky when he only get few trophy in Italy..
But his capacity and reputation is okay...Football is team sport and even you are one of the world class but your teammate can`t support you, your contribution is nothing for getting trophy..

Batistuta is one of great player in his era.
But I think, I won't put him in my number one list. Maybe I choose Trezegol, instead of Batigol, since I'm a Juve fans
But yes, I agree. Batigol is a great player. No doubt about it.
Do you know where is he now, adhyz? Is he still in soccer world? Like for examples coaching small clubs, or maybe become a director of a local club?
