Nursing vs formula feeding, which do you prefer?

I have done both for various reasons. I have had two daughter seven years apart. Due to this, I have had very different experiences. As times have changed and so have the exposure of such choices in society. I heard hospitals have pushed nursing over formula feedings and aren't giving formula as a gift in hospitals anymore. I think that is great. I think what would be better is giving away pumps or letting pumps be covered by insurance if America is so supportive of breast feeding. What is your opinion and/or experiences?
