Since I was young I was struck by a phobia that it's encountered by many people.I have arachnophobia, that is the abnormal fear of spiders. What I found interesting is that Big spiders don't quite scare me.The little ones bring the chill on my back. When I see a spider dangling on the wall,I don't know what to do.I mean, yes,I want to kill it,but something irrational stops me from doing so.When I try to think it out,I see no logic reason why I shouldn't act. What about you?Do you have any phobias? What is it?Do you have an experience with your phobia?

I fear cockcroaches, I dunno what specific phobia it's called. Whenever I see roaches I step back or jump out of fear. Worst are the flying roaches! I'm gonna cry if I see one on my room.

You think so? Some of my friends call it as chicken-hearted. Even thought I try not to be afraid, still I can't. Whenever I try to step on it or hit it with something, I falter.

Many people have this phobia.I don't know I recall it correctly.Entomophobia I think it's named. Well, the fear of these insects isn't just a phobia,as these living creatures can pass on many diseases and infections. So,rest assured, you reaction of jumping back is a healthy one.

Well,I think it's natural to maintain a healthy distance from any thing that can be endangering. The other part that needs some work is the exterior manifestation. If you work on that, while you maintain your inner attitude, you only have to win.

Well, some phobias could not necessarily be named a phobia per se.There are types of animals that can kill you pretty quick. So I think that phobias of snakes and spiders alike are just a healthy way of keeping a distance from those animals. Luckily,in my region there are very poisonous types of spiders, and all the snakes in my region are constrictors and are very rare to find.

I'm a bit paranoid at night if I'm walking in the streets. I'm always scared that people are following me. I also have a slight fear of heights.

Well,I can get scared at night sometimes.Especially when someone's behind me.If that scares,I would stop and see what he does. A friend of mine pulled a prank an old friend a few months ago.The girl was heading somewhere and all of a sudden the lights went off.He got behind her, following her.She noticed him and stopped. He also stopped. Then, she got moving. He did he.She started to walk faster, and so did he.Finally, she got running, with my friend running behind her back. She started running for her life, with him behind.Suddenly, she stopped running and started crying and screaming. My friend felt bad. When she saw him,she knew that it was her friend. After she wiped out all her tears, she started hitting him.:))

Well, fortunately I am not afraid of snakes.I quite like them.I like catching them, and seeing how they behave. The only thing I dread when catching snakes is the smell. They smell awful!

I am phobic to medical procedures and operations. I have been pregnant and not therefore wished to have my baby's birth in a hospital. I have had 3 home births because I couldn't stand having them born in a hospital. My view is labor should be natural and active. I had a water pool for my first labor in my home. Sadly I had a retained placenta after my first baby was born at home though and I was taken off to hospital in an ambulance. I asked not to have operation to remove the placenta. It was very painful having the placenta out. It made me tear and I didn't want stitches. I found out my second baby was disabled with spina bifida and hydrocephalus at 36 weeks pregnancy. I really couldn't imagine having my labor in hospital and still went ahead with my planned home birth. My little boy is now five years old and he has had lots of operations. Luckily he doesn't have the same phobias as me. After my third baby was born, my daughter, I lost two and a half liters of blood. I kept fainting and felt very ill indeed. I was taken off to hospital in an ambulance. I didn't want to have a blood transfusion and got better naturally. That took months and I was lucky to survive. I took a lot out of me to have a tooth removed at the dentist last year. I was in severe pain with it.

I do not think I am afraid of anything which I can give term phobia to. But yes I would confess that I get very nervous at times. I literally mean it. I get nervous over the smallest things which is going to be happened to me. I have recently discovered this and I am working on removing this property as it sometimes spoils my task more than I ever hope. I am a bit surprised over as at at times I give my best no where I am and whom I am speaking to with out showing a hint of nervousness.
