Have you ever tried to get a person to watch a film you love?I have. The best example of this was the time I got my mom to See Rear Window. It was re issued in a theater and I Needed to go see it. At the time I didn't travel to see films alone so my mom said she would go with me but she wouldn't go in and watch the film. I said she would like the film , Even tough it is Hitchcock , it isn't like Psycho. But all she heard was a Hitchcock film and wasn't having it!I told her a little bit of the plot . But she said no. So We took the Metro into D.C. And we found the theater and a place for her to hag out then she walked me to the theater and when I bought my ticket, she bought one too! I was surprised and proud of her. And... she loved the film. So have you ever tried to get a friend to see a film you love?

I have tried that. I tried it with the evil ex and also with T. They were not into seeing the movies I picked, but they did wind up liking them. I can tell you this, having T sit through an entire movie is quite a task. She gets antsy like fifteen minutes into the movie. And that is annoying. But sometimes she does get into a movie and watches the whole thing. Another thing I don't understand what she does is that she asks me tons of questions about the movie. Even if I have seen the movie before I don't want to talk while the movie is on. And mostly she asks me questions while we are watching a movie we both did not see, so I don't have any answers. And of course, her twin would call during a movie and she is off on the phone for a few hours. So it is a little frustrating watching a movie with her.

Oh My G-d! I couldn't take that! I sit and watch a film Or I don't watch . But to ask about it As it is airing Never. Plus I would never spoil the plot twists by telling a person too much about it.

Well, she has her quirks, I know. But she is a real good person. And a loving person. But we do have our times when we do sit through a movie and enjoy it. She just like watching those ghost shows these days. I don't mind them, but they too can get on your nerves. I find them entertaining but not real at all. I don't believe in that stuff.

I don't go to alot of movies...but the last time I did want to see one I tried to convince my sister that we should go...but she wouldn't. Her husband and herself had just went to a movie and they spent $32.00 on tickets and treats....she really hasn't been to a movie since. She thinks its just too expensive!

Well, it wasn't in the movie theater. I really wanted my dad to watch this film, which is a documentary, called Young@Heart. He never would. But on my birthday he would always do whatever I wanted. Wherever I wanted to eat, and whatever I wanted to watch. So I wanted to watch Young@Heart. He absolutely loved it! He told several of his friends to rent it because he thought they'd like it too.

Happy Birthday to you! I'm glad you have the same tradition we have . The birthday person decides what happens on their birthday.

My husband and I haven't been to see a movie since we got married, so (I can't believe it) it's been over three years already! I don't twist people's arms to go see a movie with me unless I know without a doubt they'll love it. I've seen enough movies to know who in my group of family and friends will either love it or hate it. My dad will literally watch anything with me. My husband is slightly more picky (he doesn't like horror), but if I really want to see a movie, he'll watch it with me anyway. He's a good sport when I want to see a new chick flick or romantic comedy. Those can get old really fast, but every now and then one piques my interest, so we'll watch it together. My mom is super picky and rarely watches movies. So most of the time I just don't bother. My husband and I watched a movie with one of my younger sisters and her fiance. I remembered the movie being hilarious (and we own it), but it was awful the second time around when we watched it with them. I was so disappointed! However, we found another comedy that was fairly new, so we all watched that after and loved it!

When I recommend a movie , I don't assume to see it with the person. How did that song go? " I would do anything for love ... but I won't do that." this is how I feel about seeing horror films and romantic comedies of today! Lol! I am more like your mom than you dad. Horror films effects my sleep and my appetite for about a week. Romantic comedies make me homicidal! I mean I get angry just watching the promos!straight comedies are hard to suggest. What I see as funny another may not! It is easier to suggest dramas.

I recommend films, but it's not like I'm persuading them with a force or over-persuade them. I don't remember I got anyone to watch a film (only mom to watch CSI, but that's series).

Personally I think overall almost anyone can say they have been able to talk someone into watching a Movie they are interested in. There are certain types that no matter what I will not watch unless there are enough stars in it that might interest it. I do know though it has been awhile, but I usually will tell others which movie I just rented they should think about renting as well.

I agree! You have to know the taste of the person you are talking to. Like I know Never to mention a horror film to my sister And that goes for me too.

Loved that movie when I saw it. Never had that problem though since hubby and I like most of the sane movies, and the ones we don't like, we see alone.

I like watching movies very much. Sometimes I am even like a critics and I like to share my views with others concerning about the movies. So I like to recommend some good movies for my friends. I remember in the past I recommended Twilight to my colleague and I told her if I were younger, then this movie would give me a lot of imaginations. And she watched it and she became to be a super fan of Twilight:) She is so addicted to the Twilight series although I think the later Twilight movies are not so as great as the first one. I love China

I've asked by never made my husband watch something he didn't want to watch. We don't always like the same movies which is okay so some times I'll just watch them myself and he'll do the same if he knows it's something I might not like. Some times we both try to watch something that the other likes and we find out that we both do like it and other times we just end the move early or don't watch past the first 5 minutes because we can tell the other doesn't like it at all. I normally will ask will you watch this me because I would like to watch with you if he says no he doesn't want to then I just leave it. Hubby doesn't like scary movies. He does like creature features, but nothing like Psycho. He has watched some old school movies at least what I would call old school horror movies because to me they aren't scary but yet they are still classics. We both do enjoy a good wearwolf, vampires, and zombie movies. I really don't like Harry Potter but I've seen every single movie and hubby can agree on the ones that I do like are the ones that he likes. He has like watching the Twilight movies with me and even read the books that was by his choice and we both liked the Hunger Game books and enjoyed watching the first movie.
