My parents complain that i daydream too often even when i'm doing it in my spare time because it was a waste a precious time which could have been used for something better like studying. But to me daydreaming is just a way to past the time, i mean it's definitely healthier than spending time in front of the computer. A teacher of mine encouraged us to daydream as it helps imagination flow and can reveal what we wish for so we can work hard to achieve it. I also believe that daydreaming helps me reduce stress.

I have heard that when you daydream, you are actually working out your brain more than you think you are. Daydream is a form of your brain executing the creativity inside and i guess that should be a good thing unless you find creativity useless in the modern society

Yes that is true. In the past, creativity is of less importance but nowadays it is the most sought after strength in a person, and i am sure in the future, it will be even more critical. If only there were more time for us to daydream while building our creativity in this hectic society :P

You need to work your brain to create the images you see when daydreaming and it is also true that it helps with creativity. I can't even imagine how many times my daydreams have inspried me to write my stories.
Even in this modern society, creativity is still important. Without it the world would be quite dull and what's worst is that without creativity man will never develop.

Far from being a waste of time, I believe that daydreaming could well be the body, or mind's, way of temporarily shutting us down for the sake of our own sanity. I also believe it can provide a proving ground for original thought and ideas in a world where the fully conscious and wide awake are too inclined to copy others as a natural reflex. I agree that it can be a valuable safety valve for releasing stress. Daydreamers of the world unite.....or should that be untie?!

Both words are fine. People who think daydreaming are silly. There are just so many benefits. Thanks for sharing.

Oh boy your teacher is so true. I used to day dream before and now also. I will never stop day dreaming. It is a thought we are giving out in the atmosphere and it will come true if you are honest and seeing it with your heart. You can imagine anything. It is a secret which many people don't know about and your patents are one of them. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

that's right, daydreaming is like your own secret world and no one knows what is going happen, sometimes even you yourself get lost in it. Daydreaming is also a window to what we really want and hope to achieve. Thank you.
