Warning: NFuse Direct is NOT a customer service company!

I just need to vent about a misleading job title from a company's ad. I gave my resume to a company called NFuse Direct. According to their advertisement, they were hiring "customer service representatives." I was invited back the next day to begin training.
I arrived at NFuse at 9:30 to begin work. I was handed a telemarketing script and a list (printed out from a Google search) of phone numbers of beauty salons in an Ohio city. In other words, the job involved outbound telemarketing/sales instead of inbound customer service.
For the benefit of companies that don't know the difference, "customer service" means the customer contacts the company, not the other way around. If the job involves outbound sales calls, that is not customer service and the job should not be labeled as such. I heard the receptionist at NFuse telling people the company does "customer service, marketing and sales." Those are three different things, yet the company really only does the last two.
Also, telemarketing companies are required to comply with Do Not Call list rules. Printing out a random phone listing from the Web could potentially land the company in trouble if a number on the DNC list is dialed. Finally, making telemarketing calls to random businesses is never a good idea because the people you call are trying to work! If you're going to do telemarketing, at least advertise it as such and do it correctly and legally!
