Amy's Real Life Injury

Mayim Bialik's car injury has been updated on her Wikipedia entry,which states it was her right hand,and that She was back at work next day...I hadn't realized at the time when Raj was suggesting a PhD intelligent Actress from tv show "Blossom" as a possible member of their "PMS" physics bowl team against Sheldon's "Army Ants" tht he was actually referring to HER ! I'm sure the scriptwriters can find some amusing way of writing the injury into the storylines,but that damage sounds to be painful while it heals..

I just read a thing on TVGuide.com that she went in the day after the accident so the writers could have a look and figure how to work it in the script. She wasn't sure if they wanted to write about it or just try to hide it. They chose to try to hide it. So basically, you're not supposed to see her hand. I don't know how they'll manage that.

She was laughing at TMZ because they said the other day that her thumb was almost severed. But she said it wasn't nearly as bad as they reported it.

That sounds horrible. I hope Mayim Bialik will still go on next season. But it does not seem too bad. If it's just one hand, then I think they still can manage. But it would be very funny if they say one of her lab monkeys bit her hand. Despite this injury, I seriously doubt this would affect her performance too much. She might have trouble if they are shooting scenes within her working area holding lab equipment. For the most part, I hope the script does not change too much.
