There are lots of things that we like to buy but we cannot afford but some people still buy things that they cannot pay.Just like my friend who have lots of debt because she buys things for herself that are so expensive.I really do not know why she is obsessed in buying things that sometimes is not important. She loves to shop and all of her things are branded.I really do not like what she is doing and I cannot even tell her that what she is doing is wrong and not practical but I also tried but she just says she will not do it anymore but she hides it to me and does not tell where she is going to me. How about you guys would you buy anything that you cannot afford?

I always tell myself not to buy something that isn't really necessary. But sometimes, I am really tempted to buy one, because of its looks and features. I'm also thinking that I should treat myself something nice and in. But money weighs more over my wants. I've earned that money in a hard way and don't really want to spend it over an expensive gadget. Actually, I can afford one but I'd rather not to buy it. :) Have a happy day.

I think it will be nice to afford buying designer stuff because it is designer branded(obviously) and the quality has good reputation. Your friend sounds just like the friend who I used to hang out with. She liked to spend every single dime she has every month on clothes evn though something it is not necessary, she was obessed to the cloth es and shoes and stuff etc. She would accumulate a lot of debt each month but she didn't care and what was worse is she would go hunt for guys to pay it off for her... I told her many times not to do that otherwise, she would get in big trouble in the future with all the debt but she would listen... For me, I would be happy to get to shop but I don't think I would buy something that is out of my budget, besides, I'm a good clreance hunter, I like to shop for things that is on sale.

i couldn't care less if the clothes i owned had a brand name on them. to me, that is a waste of money since these designers mark up their prices upwards of 100% of the cost that it takes to make them.
however, i am looking for a tablet, just a very basic one that will let me get the internet, read e books and listen to music.

I won't buy anything I can't afford. It isn't practical. I don't want to get "broke." If I want something and it's expensive, I save money before buying it. Money is difficult to earn so we have to spend it wisely. Happy mylotting.

a pleasant day to you blinjk,
with reference to your topic, i would save the money and spend it wisely. and if i will be faced in that kind of situation, i will not push myself to buy things which i cannot really afford. especially if i will just be in pain of paying debts eventually.

Make her realize that there are more important things needed to spend money to than those ones. It is her own problem if she still won't do the saving and being practical. I guess if she has a high paying job, she can buy things expensive but still be practical. we can't live by tomorrow if we spend money til its gone. then, look for friends and beg to give them money, how's that? pathetic attitude isn't it?

I'm bigger on online shopping as I'm getting older. Its hard to not spend money on things I can't afford. There was a thousand dollar Ralph Lauren jacket I wanted to buy so badly and I actually debated buying it. I would still love to have it but right now I'm going to take an online class and am not working, I should be saving my money for the future, which I do. I do have urges to buy expensive items every now and then but I always resist and buy smaller things to treat myself for doing freelance work online.

no, i don't buy too many things that cost over my income. I have to spend money for food and many things else. I don't want to get in debt also. It is not comfortable at all when thinking of debts.
I like to buy branded clothes also but not too many, just enough for wearing. Since inflation is high, i control myself to buy what is necessary only, i don't want to spend money to buy something and then i may not touch to it later.

I would not buy anything that I cannot pay for. I would rather wait and collect money for the stuff I want to purchase than buy it borrowing money from others. If you are her very good friend, then keep telling her from time to time about the disadvantages of buying things by putting herself under debts. I am sure sooner or later she will understand that what she is doing is not right. I am glad I am not that shopaholic.

Debt is the worst and your friend needs an intervention. I don't know what means she has to buy these expensive things. If she's paying for these expenses herself then maybe she can afford them. If not then she is just walking blindly into debt and creating debt because of material things you don't need isn't smart. All those things she buys is just temporary fixes and build clutter. Maybe your friend needs to find a better way to invest her money for longterm profit.
Right now there is a flat screen tv that I want and can't afford. I am going to wait until I can afford it to purchase. In the meantime I can enjoy my tube tv and internet access. It takes discipline, I am a recovering shopaholic.

Well,if there is something I can not afford,I would naturally feel an impulse to start gathering money in order to buy it.But as soon as I have the money, once I see the thing again,my urge of buying it slightly decreases and if I let some days pass,I couldn't think of buying that!I think this is good for me,because I am a natural spender of money.:))

As much as I want to buy expensive things, I just stick with my budget. This will surely save me from debts. We should live just within our means to avoid debts. Also, I am trying to earn more than enough for us so to afford things we want and to give the best to our son.

I admit that I love to shop, but I am not a big fan of using credit cards and signing debts just to get something that I want but can't afford. There are still far more important things in life than my mere wants and luxuries, like healthcare insurance, retirement, and a house of our own, to name a few. If I will be able to buy things that I want in some really affordable price, then I guess I would buy them all. But once the price is way above the range that I set for myself, I have full control of my shopping urges not to go and still buy the item even if it can be bought through credit. Its just not worth the interest and the trouble.
