This is a new menu at our local McDonalds here that I have yet to try... The advertisement and promotion sounds and seems quite enticing... I don't know why I'm not too sure about trying it. It is supposed to have rosemary herbs and all, but perhaps I'm just not too keen of having lamb meat as burgers. Do you have the same at your local McDonalds?

Wow! I've never heard of using lamb in a burger before! I can't imagine that as I absolutely hate lamb! I've tried eating it before a couple times and I just can't stand the taste or smell! But, I guess if you're accustomed to eating lamb or like it then I guess it could be ok. I don't think you could use the typical condiments on it though that you use with a beef hamburger. I've never seen anything that exotic at any McDonald's I've ever been to, but then again I live in the United States, and I don't think the Lamb Burger would go over very well here. Well, let us know how it turns out for you if you do end up trying it. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I haven't even tried it yet. Last time I went to McDonald's I still ordered the Big Mac... I love it when they added NY bagels on their breakfast menu here... It's not easy to find nice bagels where I am. So whenever I miss eating bagels, I just go to McDonalds before 10:30 am...

I haven't tried it yet either but I will next time I go if it's still available. I only go once every 2-3 months. Don't like going to those places too often.

So they have that where you are too, right? I'm starting to wonder if it is just my imagination... They don't seem to be available worldwide.

This sounds... interesting. I'm in the US and no it is not here, that I am aware of. I would try it just to see what it tastes like. I would not be expecting to like it! I can't even remember what lamb tastes like. I've only had it once or twice in my life. Is lamb something Aussie's eat pretty often or is this as crazy as it sounds?

I suppose we eat lamb more here... We do have many sheeps and we export them to other countries mostly in Asia...

Oh okay then I think it is a better option for Australia to put on their mcdonalds menus. As for here in the USA I am unsure how it would do. Some I am sure enjoy lamb but it is not a common thing to eat as I am aware of. Kind of like a rarity or considered "game", something like that. Did you ever try one while it was started and is it still there in the menu? The tell tale will be had it been pulled or not since you mentioned this topic.

You're right... It must be some kind of a trial thing. I did hear it is available for 'limited time' only. I am not sure what that exactly means; I just assume it's not available at certain time during McDonald's business or trading hours.

I have never heard of this from McDonald's! Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking? I live in Indiana, United States. We just have good 'ole hamburgers here. Lol Could it possibly have something to do with the recent findings of "pink slurry" in McDonald's hamburger meat? Maybe they are trying something new to get customers back into their doors. I know I enjoy lamb meat from gyros, but I've never tried a lamb burger. You never know, it might be delicious!

I'm here on the other side of the world, Down Under... When I started this topic, I was curious if this is done at other McDonald's all over the world...

I'm pretty sure it's not being done in the United States, but maybe other countries are doing this and crazier things!

I wonder what 'special' thing they have in the States that are not available elsewhere. I've heard about a vegetarian McDonalds just opened up somewhere; I could be totally wrong, but perhaps it is in India...

Not really, but they do sound delicious... Perhaps I'll try them next time I'm there if they are still available. Some special menus sometimes only available for limited time; that's what they say about the Lamb Burger here...

Hi dear Sishy7! =) Lamb? I think lamb meat is rare in here, we only have goat but it never been as a menu in McD, we have it as a traditional foods such as satay and gulai (It is sooo yummy, I mean it :D ) Well, I don't know about lamb, but goat has a unique fishy smell ,so if there's a goat burger I don't think that it will be as tasty as beef burger :D So have you tried the taste of lamb burger yet now?

I haven't notice this new product in the Mc.Donald restaurant's menu i frequented weekly. I may check it out the next time i visit the restaurant again to see whether they introduce this new lamb burger to their list of food sold in the restaurant, i may give it a try to see how tasty the lamb burger will be compare to beef burger. I have never try any burger with lamb in it before, it may turn out better than beef burger, or even worse. Just can't tell for now since Mc.Donald in my location is not selling it yet, may be the franchise owner has not decide whether to have this new specialty in his menu for now, i have to be patient with it, just wait and see later.

Thanks for sharing dear sishy7. We have one branch of McDonald in my city recently, they give home delivery if you order for more than 500 rupees. I don't eat lamb meat, i eat goat meat occasionally.

That's good service, I wonder how much dollar is 500 rupees? There is no home delivery here from McDonalds. But I used to live in Jakarta, and I think they do 24-hour home delivery there without any minimum purchase...

Yeah, I'm not sure about that either... This is fun to see what they offered back in 2012 - I don't think it worked too well as I've never seen the offer back since...
