I and my family was able to meet Ann Romney during a political rally last December.
I was really impressed that she stopped and talked to us. She is really nice.
And today, her speech was spot on. She handled herself impressively well.
I would love to call her First Lady. She will represent the country well.

Many women raise children, but they just do not have as much money to do so. Many people are sick, but some of us cannot afford to go to the doctor. They did not build their fortune on their own. They inherited plenty of it and got expert business advice from their parents. Most of us are not so brilliant as to start our own businesses, that is why the majority of people work for someone else earning meager wages. Republicans are against women's rights, the state of NJ has the highest rate of unemployment ever since Christie came to town. And these jerks dare to even say that they care about middle class Americans? That lady has no idea what my life is like. To cut off unemployment when so many people are without jobs? How can we get good jobs if they cut government support for education? If the Romneys are so damn honest, maybe they should actually show us those tax returns. By the way, I work very hard full time and your comment is actually insulting to me. I am far from lazy.

Jealousy is a destructive emotion. Yes, you work hard but there is no reason to hate those who have more. There are always opportunities to better ourselves if we will take them.
Yes, the Romneys were fortunate. They also began their married life in a basement apartment with no domestic help. He gave away his inheritance and earned all the money he has now on his own. He gives millions to charity each year. And his tax returns will be submitted--he submitted several years' worth to John McCain when he was being considered as a running mate. (Not to get off the subject but where is our president's school records and such? He's the most secretive prez we've ever had.)
The trouble with this election year is that people listen to one side and believe everything they hear without investigating it. Or if they do investigate, they read and view only sources from liberal or conservative sources that agrees with their own general view. Each side depends on stirring the emotions of people and consuming them with blind hatred--toward the rich, toward the current president, toward the wealthy, toward people of different races and religions. This is the most hateful campaign, on both sides, that I remember. And you and millions of others are falling into the trap.
I encourage you to objectively get to know both candidates, the incumbent and the challenger. Neither are completely evil, corrupt or as bad as the other side makes them out to be. Make an informed choice when you vote instead of following the wolves who are herding the sheep. Don't be a sheep.

They inherited and then gave it away to charity. What Romney got, he got on his own. Yeah, they did have the benefit of good business advice. So what? It is not like he got to choose his parents?
Really, a lot of your statement sounds like outright jealously.
But let's ignore that fact and address who you are really mad at, Christie.
You have choices to change your situation. Move to a State that has lower unemployment rate or vote him out next election. You can also become involved with your local government.
Mad about education cuts, here's a novel idea. Teach your own kids. That's free and there is tons of free resources on the internet about anything and everything. All you need is a little time investment.
Worried about your health care, start exercising and eating better. Again, tons of tips without signing into weight watchers.
Worried about the price of food, use coupons, shop sales, again thousands of ways to do this. The information is about your fingertips.
People are so willing to complain and wait for government to come to the rescue without realizing with a little effort they can actually rescue themselves.
It takes a lot longer for Government to do anything even change. It is too big and heavy to change direction very easily or very fast.

That's because she's real unlike the current classless last lady occupying the casa blanca.

I don't doubt she'll make a fine First Lady. Except for trips at our expense, Michelle Obama has been a fine First Lady. One thing you can say about Ann Romney, she doesn't need the taxpayers money to take trips anywhere.

I respect that she raised her five children and had to at least attend their functions and more. Being a stay at home mother is hard work and if stay at home mother's were paid for all the work they do with overtime and little to no breaks or vacations (and I do not mean family vacations... it is not a vacation if you are still doing most of what you do at home in a different place), they would probably comfortably make up to $100,000 a year just from that. They are event planners, nurses, housekeepers, sometimes accountants (for budgeting expenses) and much more. For that she has the respect I give to any mother that has the ability to stay at home.
Now at the moment she is 63 years old I believe. She doesn't have to raise any children now and much more. I still feel that while she may be nice or act nice that she is very out of touch. I read an interview with her a few years back talking about how it was hard to be a mother (which is very connected and believable) and how she attend night classes.....
and then she said it was hard because they had to sell off American Motor stock to survive when her husband was in college. Now while some people would find this heartening... other people would look at how much they are struggling to take care of their children and work if a job was lost. It makes her seem disconnected because she didn't have any real financial struggles.
For me personally, while I respect her as one mother to another, her smiles don't seem to be real. Anyone can be nice to your face. I mean I can't stand a lot of people, but I know how to smile and be professional as should anyone who has ever worked or had to deal with customers which in this case the customer is the voter.
I have no real issues with Ann Romney or Michelle Obama. Their husbands on the other hand....
Hmmm... maybe American needs a mother for president. Someone who can be both compassionate to those in need and tough as nails when it counts.

You forgot, Mitt Romney gave away (except for those stocks) every penny he inherited from his father. And once he was successful, he began giving some back, to the tune of 16% to charities, he gave (without pay)his time to bring back the Olympics from oblivian, he donated (without pay)two years to his church. And when it came time for him to serve in his church (Mormons have no paid clergy, they take turns leading the local church)he again, without pay put in a year, often times giving long hours and money to the sick and financially strapped members.
The media would like to paint the Romney's as out of touch because they have money. They've dug and dug and cannot find any scandal on them. The left would like us to believe the Obama's are caring and compassionate people, but they gave a whopping 1% to charity, and like to jet set all over the world on our dime.
Seems to me that the Democrats are jealous.
