I love this site. But sometimes no matter what site I'm on there always seems to be that person who sounds like their pessimistic answer is the only one that we should listen to. It just makes me laugh sometimes. What's the rudest comment you have ever gotten. Either on here or somewhere else?

Try sticking your toe into the political or religious forums. You'll end up with some moron or other who disagrees with you and thinks you're an idiot, and you'll get twenty different versions of how you should think. People who come into my discussions and say something stupid or inane are likely to get a mouthful of sarcasm from me, if I even bother with their stupidities and inanities. There are many users here who are normally lovely calm people until you show you haven't read the discussion you're replying to, and then they'll bite your head off. Lash

Someone started a rude discussion so I responded what I thought was a rude comment. I didn't hear back from that person. I thought that was rude of him ignoring me like that.

Same here, I love this site too. Well, as far as I can remember I had none. Maybe, there were but I have forgotten. As I recall now, all of my friends or those who had joined my discussion s are very nice people. If ever there were, well I cannot control other people's emotion or opinion. I respect everyone's opinion here.

Seem like if their pessimistic answers just make you laugh, nothing so rude about it after all. May be they are just trying to take every effort making you happy, nothing personal about it. I will just read them with a grain of salt and inside an open mind, there are many different type of personality among Mylot members, i don't expect everyone will behave the same way and give answer/respond with the same manner. At least you are laughing not rise up with your assault rifles full of rage.

I wrote a topic about a guy I got to know at university, and later he found me on the net, and invited me to the theatre, and I wasn't sure whether he was just nice or liked me that way (actually, we are a couple since then)... well, anyways, most people totally misunderstoof the question and thought I got to know him on the net, and one user told me that in their culture I would be seen as an easy girl for meeting him. Anyway, I appreciate opinions, but calling me a sl.t diplomatically is just not a thing I can condone.

I agree. The language and cultural boundaries has a lot to do with it but not all of the time. Sometime there are just people who are just down right rude and act as though they know you and know what your situation is like.

I just joined mylot last night and posted something similar to this. I responded to someone's discussion. It was a "what would you do" question. They did day one option was out of the picture due to children. I gave my response to what I would do. I also told them I use to think that due to my kids that the one option was not there but I am glad I finally saw it was and explained how it has effected us. She seem to get very upset. I was just answering her question. Oh well

hi axmorales hi the rudest comment really a response was this "Oh my God!" and it was on my whimisical discussion about the use of the expression "Cotton Picking" this or that,. It was deleted for' not furthering my discussion. Why did the person even bother to respond if they disliked my discussion? and a tag to an early discussion "whiny old hag" which I reported to the admins and it was deleted.
