Do you experiences Power Surges?

I live in a part of the world where I have not seen the power gone off in a very long time,infact all the while I have been here I have never seen power gone off for once, unlike when I was in my home country where there was heavy fluctuations in the electricity suply and the company restoring it was like the dawn of a new day each time light is restored after days of total darkness, I just want to know if mylotter do experience things like that, power surges, total darkness for sometime and all

In the place I live,power surges aren't abnormal,but they don't happen that much.They are usually followed by blackouts.But I do remember once a generator caught on fire and the whole neighborhood was covered by pitch-blackness for the following night.The moon wasn't visible,there were clouds.It was like you went blind,except that you could see some lights from the cars.If it wasn't winter with extremely low temperatures,I wouldn't have minded.But,without electricity,we couldn't stay warm.
The next morning the situation was solved,but that night was the chilliest I ever had.

Well first of all I apologise for my grammatical error in my title'''EXPERIENCES''
Secondly, I would say you live in a pretty good area, where I lived before I moved to another country entirely the blackout could last for days or even weeks and it was considered normal then, anyways that was a long time ago and I guess things are improving there now because when I see things coming out from there, all I can say is WOW

As a matter of fact, I have experience a lot of power surges when I was in my hometown. Sometimes the electricity will not be back for one whole day. Sometimes just a few hours. Now that I have moved to another state due to my degree course, I experience less power surges yet it is still there. Whenever there is power surges, it gives people a lot of trouble as well as the lost of millions of profit.

Here we have power cuts every half hour in the morning and in the night. We are having huge power problem and most probably the electricity will have power cuts more hours if there is no rain in our place.
